Today, I met up directly with photographer Lantian at the arcade to kick off the shoot. This time, I cosplayed Cissia from Zenless Zone Zero, and the costume is truly packed with details. The pink halter crop top is printed with the N.E.P.S. lettering, layered with detached white puff sleeves accented by black leather straps and metal buckles that provide great texture. The lower half features a black leather corset paired with a tiered pleated miniskirt, with a star-shaped metal buckle on the belt serving as a highlight. To faithfully capture the character's full presence, I specially prepared sheer Black stockings, along with a white leg warmer featuring crisscross straps and N.E.P.S. lettering. Matched with black platform moto boots accented with pink laces and metallic buckles, the visual elongation of the leg lines is remarkable.
For the hairstyle, golden twin tails with blunt bangs were accented by small side braids to add texture. The crown was decorated with small black ribbon hairpins and white fluffy pom-pom hair ties. The makeup focused heavily on the eyes with red colored contacts, complemented by pointed elf ear props and a black choker, instantly setting the character's aura. The handheld prop was a polearm weapon—a black-and-gold shaft tipped with a crimson spearhead—which felt quite weighty in hand.
The arcade's neon lighting served as a natural photography studio. Pink and purple ambient lights bounced off the leather fabric of the costume, delivering fantastic specular highlights. For our first setup, I hopped directly into the driver's seat of an arcade racing simulator, gripping the steering wheel with both hands and leaning slightly to the side. This sporty setting complemented the combat uniform surprisingly well; the photographer captured several focused driving angles that looked effortless yet cool.
Next, we moved over to the claw machines and other arcade cabinets. Standing beside a pink neon light wall while holding the weapon in one hand produced an expansive composition; though the spear was heavy, locking into the stance immediately pushed the presence to the max. Playing the Angry Birds arcade game, gripping the red bird-shaped joystick while leaning forward to reach the yellow lever, captured an ultra-relaxed state—just like hanging out at an arcade on the weekend. Crouching beside the racing machines or leaning against the claw machine, the Black stockings paired with thigh garters, straps, and platform boots resting on the reflective floor made leg proportions look exceptionally long. While the corset and leather skirt placed slight limits on range of motion, they actually helped sustain an upright, sharp posture.
Throughout the shoot, I continually smoothed the costume and realigned the weapon, but the arcade's signature cyberpunk light and gaming elements seamlessly complemented the tactical techwear vibe of the outfit. The tonal transitions in the final Anime-style photography shots felt organic, with arcade screens and neon tubes providing richly saturated colorful backdrops.
