This time I shot Seed from Zenless Zone Zero, and the overall style is quite different from usual studio shoots. To match Seed's temperament, which carries a bit of techwear and retro-tech vibe, we deliberately found a venue piled with old CRT monitors, putting a lot of thought into the set decoration. The thick black cables covering the floor were actually a huge challenge; stepping on them was genuinely a bit prickly on the feet, but to recreate this environment filled with wires and mechanical feel, going barefoot for the shoot was inevitable. This outfit features an abundance of details; the upper body's cut-out design paired with various metal buckles and yellow straps required assistance to put on and take off. The white sleeveless tight top paired with the black inner wear has very strong layering; wearing it required adjusting the positions bit by bit, especially those wires hanging on the body which easily got tangled. That collar with metal gears is also a focal point; it felt slightly unaccustomed when first worn, but after getting used to it, I actually felt it served as a great posture reminder, keeping my neck straight at all times.

The core of this shoot was to present that atmosphere of the character being both lazy and possessing some sort of precision machinery. The few old monitors lit up on-site with blue screens or specific English logos; actually, these screens themselves served as fantastic light sources, casting a cold cyberpunk feel onto the body naturally, saving a lot of post-processing fill light. The black cables on the ground became wonderful foreground elements during composition, and I frequently utilized them for visual guidance, or sat directly leaning against the monitors, utilizing those stacked machines as a background to enhance the frame's depth.

I especially love poses like lying sideways or lifting one leg. Because the lower body consists of patchwork techwear pants paired with highly designed straps, lifting the leg allows the pants' tailoring and fabric texture to be fully displayed. Since it was a barefoot shoot, foot lines and toe details would also be captured by the lens, so I intentionally made the foot posture look relaxed yet not loose, with a slightly tensed instep to elongate the leg lines. The mint-green wig paired with silver hair accessories appeared exceptionally translucent under the cool-toned lighting; to maintain the hair strands' translucent feel, I had to constantly tidy them up with a comb during shooting breaks. The white long arm sleeves on the arms paired with orange half-finger gloves are definitely an eye-catching highlight of the entire styling, and whenever I raised my hands above my head or propped them on the ground, that mechanical feel immediately emerged.

The entire shooting process was essentially fusing the character's setting with the scene. There was no need to deliberately force overly complex large movements; just sitting casually among the messy cables, accompanied by the slight buzzing sound and operational background noise of the surrounding machines, allowed the state to flow naturally. In makeup design, we emphasized the eye contours, slightly deepening the eyeshadow and eyeliner to counteract the slightly dim tech environment in the background, ensuring the face remained the visual center. The lip color was kept as natural as possible to echo the overall cooler temperament. This attempt to combine techwear clothing with this retro e-waste style environment brought a visual contrast whose impact was truly immense, and every single raw photo straight out of the camera already possessed a ton of flavor.
