[Ye Shunguang Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Yunkui Summit Senior Sister's Daily Makeup Test Selfies

Tried out a makeup test for Ye Shunguang's "Warm Sunshine Glow" look, and the overall effect was quite natural. There are actually plenty of key details in this look, especially the hair part. The two hair strands pulled out on both sides were harder to fix than I imagined; I had to use small clips to carefully pinch and shape them to achieve that naturally flipped outward curve. Combined with the red and white headband in front and the white cloth ornaments at the back, the overall silhouette really came together.

For the eye makeup, I specifically emphasized the lower lash line and eye-slanted downward shading this time, paired with pink contact lenses to visually enlarge the eyes. Speaking of the contacts, I really have to apologize—I couldn't find the original lenses I had prepared, so I grabbed a random open pair at home to substitute. Although it's a bit OOC (out of character) for the role, the result turned out surprisingly great, with the pinkish-brown tone looking quite translucent under the light. The overall makeup followed a natural cosplay makeup route without heavy shading, as I was worried overly dramatic contouring might diminish the character's lively charm. This clear base makeup, combined with a touch of rosy lip color and the red and white ruffle off-the-shoulder top, really brought out that lively and cute senior sister vibe of Ye Shunguang.

Regarding costume details, beyond the large red and white outfit areas, the gold-bordered heart decoration at the neckline and the red ribbon pendant were very eye-catching, perfectly balancing the monotony of the large white areas during photos. The sleeves are separate one-piece arm sleeves, making them easy to put on and take off while maintaining a lightweight feel. The metal buckle on the belt and the green jade ring decoration are also very recognizable, serving as visual accents against the red base color. I paid a bit of attention to matching the accessories in the picture: the white bead and emerald wrist bracelet on my hand echoes the green jade ring at the waist, giving a strong sense of unity.

As for the shooting process, this angle was actually a low-angle selfie taken by myself holding the phone, which is the most common low-angle for mirror selfies. In the first picture, the flash hit my chest directly, and combined with some dust or reflection at the time, it created a big white lens flare effect. Although unexpected, it turned out to be quite a special lighting effect. For the following three pictures, I adjusted the camera position slightly to avoid excessive highlights, allowing everyone to clearly see details like clothing folds and ribbon structures.

In cosplay makeup tests, it's quite common to be affected by lighting or fabric reflections. Sometimes a makeup look that appears clear under natural light can look overly pale or flat under a flash, so every time I shoot a new character, I have to readjust to the feeling of the lighting. What was rare this time was that even under direct flash, the eye makeup details weren't completely lost—the faint red smudging along the lower eyelid was still visible, and the fake lashes held up the double eyelid contour.

The fabric of the outfit has a slight sheen, especially the red skirt section where faint golden threads shimmer beautifully under the flash. The white ruffled neckline has nicely folded layers without stiffness, fitting my theme of a "natural cosplay makeup." In terms of photo poses, I chose a few memorable actions, such as putting an index finger to my lower lip or lightly tilting my head with hands clasped. Combined with this low-angle shot, it naturally creates a head-pat-like interactive perspective from games, hoping to recreate a bit of the senior sister's playful personality. Although there were moments of frustration when styling the wig, this outfit as a whole is very friendly for average body types, being easy to wear without feeling overly restrictive—perfect for walking around conventions for long hours.
