This Halloween project features Marin Kitagawa in her succubus persona. The black patent leather dress has high reflectivity under studio lights; to preserve its rich texture, we dimmed the key lights on set and used rim backlighting to sculpt the contours. The wig was trimmed with blunt bangs, paired with elf ears, black devil horns, and miniature black wings at the back to faithfully recreate the core succubus motifs. The makeup emphasized vivid green contact lenses and defined lips to accentuate that playfully bold devilish charm.

The setting was staged in an interior styled with crimson velvet curtains and gothic furnishings. To match the Halloween atmosphere, illuminated jack-o'-lanterns, antique candelabras, and wine goblets were integrated. This shoot placed high demands on body language, requiring graceful curves to break the heavy monochrome of black garments against a dark backdrop. Whether crossing legs on a vintage leather armchair or leaning against the table edge, the goal was to sustain Marin's naturally vibrant energy while exuding the mystery and sensuality of a succubus. For the wine goblet close-up, relaxing the hands, dropping the shoulders, and gazing upward directly into the lens were essential.

Patent leather tends to tug and crease during movement, so I kept my back straight to prevent awkward bunching, utilizing props to redirect visual focus. Pairing stockings with black high heels was crucial for elongating the leg lines, and the photographer found excellent low angles to maximize this effect. The black-and-white checkerboard floor set against dark crimson drapery produced a stark chromatic contrast, giving raw captures ample atmospheric depth even before post-color grading. Creating an immersive Halloween ambiance requires harmony across every detail, from set design to costume choice. This succubus styling preserved the character's upbeat charm while seamlessly blending with a festive dark aesthetic.

Drawing inspiration from Marin's passion for cosplay in My Dress-Up Darling, I dedicated considerable thought to fabric textures and prop placement during prep. The set arrangement served as more than just a background—the jack-o'-lantern was positioned intentionally in front of my legs to double as a soft fill light and a visual lead. Combined with the red-and-black palette, the straight-out-of-camera tones already carried palpable visual tension. In addition to standard seated poses, we explored tabletop leans and kneeling postures to showcase the tailoring and silhouette from all angles. The glossy sheen paired with deep black inherently radiates a seductive, dangerous allure that matches the succubus concept perfectly. The entire session was an exhilarating creative endeavor, harmonizing lighting, styling, and body mechanics to unite the Halloween spirit with the character's signature charm.
