This time, shooting this outfit for Seele Vollerei, the details were truly so numerous that I had to double-check everything repeatedly while putting it on. The combination of black and white main color tones, along with those iconic chain elements and shoulder decorations, made this one of my most satisfying recreations. Especially that cross-shaped headpiece—it took a lot of effort to secure it, but once the effect came out, it felt completely worth it. The texture of the long spear was also excellent; the metallic paint and strap design felt very substantial in my hands, helping to boost the character's aura during the shoot.
The shooting location was chosen at the beach, where the water surface and sandy beach under the sunlight give the frame a more translucent feel, perfectly fitting Seele's cool yet soft temperament. However, to be honest, walking on the sand in high heels and a complex skirt hem definitely required some balancing skills. To avoid the waves crashing onto the skirt hem, we adjusted our positions several times. The photographer caught the moment of me looking back while carrying the spear with one hand; this angle can display the length of the weapon while revealing the ribbons and layers on both sides of the skirt hem, and I personally love the composition of this shot.
For Honkai Impact 3rd cosplay and Roleplay in general, the choice of materials for props and costumes heavily impacts the final shooting results. This time, I tried mixing different materials, such as a stiff collar and soft ribbons, which brought out a nice contrast under the light. The post-processing skipped excessive editing, keeping the original light, shadow, and colors as much as possible, because natural light at the beach is the best filter. Every time I portray a character, it's a new experience. Being able to present my favorite character in this way makes the minor challenges along the way turn into fun memories for this Seele cosplay session.
