From the moment I decided to do this look, a lot of time was spent in the early preparation phase pondering over details. This pink high-cut patent leather bodysuit has a relatively stiff material that offers great shaping effects, but it also means putting it on, taking it off, and adjusting it requires extra care. Paired with pure white stockings, it not only unifies the overall color tone but also visually elongates my body proportions, delivering a lightweight yet textured atmosphere. After tweaking the hairstyle back and forth several times, I finally settled on the light pink twin-tail wig, with the texture and curl of the hair strands carefully managed. The bunny ears on the headband are highly three-dimensional, and the mini carrot decorations on both sides are the crowning touch, enhancing the overall playful vibe.
On the day of the shoot, the crowd in the exhibition hall was busier than expected, and the photography setup on site was quite massive. The surroundings were filled with reflector umbrellas, octagonal softboxes, and various light stands; the cool-toned metallic light hitting the patent leather material created a beautiful highlight refraction. Facing such large equipment, as the one being photographed, all I could do was try my best to maintain an excellent condition for this Convention photography session. Holding that oversized plush carrot prop actually carried quite a bit of weight, so it required clever leverage in terms of composition and movement. When shooting standing poses, I deliberately adjusted the front and back placement of my legs so that the texture of the white stockings wouldn't overexpose under the convention lighting, while naturally showcasing the leg lines. Adding a casual peace sign while holding the carrot with one hand filled the overall frame with a light and lively feeling—which was why that image was ultimately chosen as the cover, as it almost perfectly showcases the highlights of the entire outfit.
Besides standing poses, I also attempted a double-knee kneeling action. Lowering the center of gravity strengthens the sense of interaction between the perspective and the character. Doing peace signs with both hands paired with the carrot prop in front filled the entire composition with vitality. Throughout the shooting process, the photographer was constantly guiding me to adjust the angles of my jawline and gaze. Although the exhibition hall floor was cold and hard gray concrete, wrapped under the lights and lens, I deeply enjoyed the process of focusing on interpreting this character's personality. In this pairing of the patent leather high-cut bodysuit and white long stockings, any extension or contraction of movements forms different muscular and fabric directions under the light and shadow; this intense texture reflection of the patent leather material is the core memory point of the entire look.
To align with the character's agile and vibrant personality, I kept the makeup base as natural and translucent as possible, paired with pinkish-purple eyeshadow and light-colored contact lenses to ensure the saturation of the eye color is maintained even under strong lights. Every time I participate in a convention to get photos, it's not just about taking a few pictures, but about touching the character's soul in a specific time and space. The exquisite embellishments on this pink-themed outfit, including the pink bow on the neck, the white wristbands on the cuffs, and the white-soled sneakers on the feet, every detail is meant to restore the character's unique freshness. Moving around on-site and collaborating with different photographers, I was also continuously reviewing my movement tension, such as the tilt angle of the hips during standing poses or the fingertip pressure when holding props; these micro-adjustments can save a lot of unnecessary post-processing modifications in the final photos.
Standing in front of the lens at the convention, full commitment always brings an immersive experience. Although a highly saturated patent leather costume is extremely eye-catching amidst the chaotic background of the live site, it still requires appropriate lighting and angles to achieve the ideal photo results. During breaks, I would communicate with the photography team about light placement and composition to find the frame that best showcases the advantages of this outfit. The combination of pink and white places a high demand on the photo's white balance, but fortunately, the color restoration was perfectly in place during post-processing. Sorting through this set of photos during breaks also allowed me to re-savor the excitement of pressing the shutter back then. This share covers some random thoughts behind this set of photos regarding makeup, hair, props, and on-site coordination, hoping to bring some outfit or shooting inspiration to everyone interested in this style. Recording the outfit you love is a highly meaningful roleplay experience in itself.
