The photos for this Hiyuki cosplay have finally been sorted out. The modified red-and-white Ancient-style cosplay attire, combined with the silver-white long hair and signature red eyes, maxes out the overall atmosphere. During the shoot, we specially chose a Chinese-style setting; the combination of flowering branches outside the window and calligraphy curtains indoors gives this set of photos a stronger sense of storytelling.
To better recreate the character's charm, a lot of energy was put into the wig and makeup, and the detailed processing of the red eye makeup also brings the gaze into sharper focus. During the shoot, I tried both lying down and sitting angles, and the layering of the skirt hem turned out very photogenic under the light. The leather straps and hanging ornaments at the waist are the key highlights, preserving the character's original techwear style while integrating traditional aesthetics.
Every time I take on such a multi-element character for a Roleplay showcase, the greatest challenge is how to present a dynamic expression in a static frame, and this time can be considered a satisfying answer. The large white sleeves paired with transparent mesh stitching present a wonderful flowing effect during movements. Along with the assistance of small props like folding fans and teacups, the storytelling of the entire finished set is made complete. I hope everyone will enjoy my understanding and interpretation of this character from Wuthering Waves through this piece of Anime-style photography.
