[Denia Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Denia Convention photo, visual collision of dreamlike bubbles and a giant staff

Finally finished editing the Convention photos from the last anime convention; looking back, it really has been a long time since I updated pictures. I've been adjusting my state during this time, while figuring out how to restore the character's details more accurately. This time I'm portraying Denia from Wuthering Waves, and to showcase her unique temperament, a lot of thought went into the styling beforehand. The gradient color of the wig and the styling of the hair buns on both sides of the head went through multiple trimmings and settings, and light blue contact lenses were worn to match the character's pupil color. In terms of clothing, a white halter corset is paired with a multi-layered pleated short skirt. To increase layering, a shawl with translucent pink and red fabrics was layered on top, and the arms are also equipped with white plush sleeves and red gloves. The choker on the neck and the small black doll on the chest were also strictly detail-restored.

The giant staff prop in hand is the focus of this styling, featuring a crescent-shaped shell and a purplish-blue sphere, paired with pink star patterns and long ribbons, creating a very strong visual impact. Although it is not light in weight, when lifted in front of the lens, the character's mysterious yet playful aura instantly bursts out. This set of pictures consists of Convention photos shot at a large exhibition center, and the cooperation with Teacher Feiyu was extremely tacit. Convention photos test impromptu performance the most; with people coming and going in the venue, wanting to quickly get into character amidst the noisy environment requires running through the character's personality in your mind. I sat on a black mechanical-looking base, crossing my legs, holding up the staff with one hand and gently lifting the other, using the curve of my fingers to guide the line of sight.

To match the atmosphere on-site, a bubble machine was used to create many transparent bubbles. These bubbles reflected light under the interweaving of natural light and the venue's overhead lights, which, combined with the industrial-style metal trusses in the background, made the frame look extremely fantastical. When shooting this kind of lolita-style styling, the stretch of the limbs is very crucial. The crossed-leg sitting posture not only allows the wrinkles of the skirt hem to naturally drape, but also visually elongates the lines, showing an elegant feeling. The red gloves played a finishing touch role in the predominantly black-and-white clothing; whether holding the staff or gently stroking the shawl, attention had to be paid to the strength of the wrist and fingers to avoid looking stiff.

The charm of Convention photos lies in their vividness and authenticity. Although the surrounding environment is complex, as long as appropriate light and shadow and moments can be captured, a very textured effect can be presented. Every time I do a cosplay, it's like having a cross-dimensional communication with the character. From costume sewing to makeup details, and every single freeze-frame in front of the lens, I always hope to present the best state. I am quite satisfied with Denia's Convention photos this time and am sharing them with everyone.
