[Athy Cosplay] Who Made Me a Princess: Golden-Haired Princess Photography in the Garden

Upon receiving the final photos from this Cosplay location shoot, my first reaction was to verify whether the placement of the bowtie and forehead ornament captured the character's exact feel in the garden scene.

The texture of this pink mesh gown left a deep impression on me, especially the thick layers of 3D roses stacked across the skirt hem. These fabric flowers needed to be hand-fixed onto the layered tulle skirt, creating a distinct drape while walking. Wearing it placed noticeable weight on the waist, requiring extra caution during movement. The neckline featured a delicate pink-and-white ribbon bow, while off-the-shoulder sleeves with lace edging created a lovely visual harmony with the armlets. A slender gold bracelet on the wrist introduced a touch of refinement, softening the potential monotony of the extensive pink-and-white fabric to enrich the layered visual structure.

As for the headpiece, the drop-shaped ruby of the forehead ornament and the pink floral side accessories formed the primary visual focal points. Securing the forehead ornament required finding exact anchoring points on the wig in advance to ensure the central ruby rested precisely between the brows, heightening the focus of my gaze. I also finely adjusted the wig bangs so they fell naturally along both sides of the forehead without obscuring eyebrows or interfering with expressive eye contact.

The long, wavy golden wig was rinsed with conditioner before the shoot and combed into specific curves to maintain a fluffy yet silky texture. Strong wind is usually the biggest worry during outdoor photography, as golden hair can easily become tangled and messy. However, the light that day was magnificent; when gusts picked up, we seized the opportunity to snap candid shots of floating hair strands, capturing dynamic, airy moments as seen in Figure 2.

For makeup, I chose translucent base makeup and soft pink-orange eyeshadow, paired with natural lashes and lip color to soften facial intensity. This aligned seamlessly with the \"soft and dreamy\" theme of the shoot, ensuring clean, defined facial contours after setting.

The location for this shoot was a lush garden featuring green lawns, scattered pink daisies, and wooden trellises. Vines climbing the trellises along with blooming pink and light-blue flowers created a wonderful chromatic atmosphere that complemented the dress's palette. In Figure 1, sitting on the lawn integrated the silhouette with low flower beds for a serene frame; in Figure 2, leaning sideways against the trellis utilized wooden textures as an organic foreground element.

As afternoon sunlight streamed obliquely through the trees, it created a beautifully luminous light-and-shadow effect. Because contrast was high, the photographer used reflectors to fill in shadows, allowing the face to retain bright, delicate clarity under sunlight while creating vivid catchlights in the eyes. We utilized a wide aperture to blur the background, softening complex foliage and blooms to draw focus onto the subject while ensuring full-body composition boundaries remained intact.

During post-processing, the focus was placed on unifying color tones to preserve the clear pinks and bright golds while avoiding over-smoothing skin texture. Micro-adjustments were made to skin tones while preserving authentic skin grain, infusing the overall atmosphere with a bright, breathing quality suited for Anime-style photography.

Executing such a complex look heavily relies on team collaboration. I adjusted my body posture, finger placement, and hair direction in tandem with the photographer's camera angles while staying mindful not to let the lawn soil or tear the delicate dress fabric. This shoot allowed me to experience the charm of Athy cosplay multidimensionally, capturing these precious moments within the garden.
