The pairing of spring and Spiraea thunbergii resulted in a set of Yu Linglong photos that I am very satisfied with. This outdoor location selected a blooming Spiraea thunbergii forest; the combination of white blossoms and a stone wall perfectly highlights the lightness and fairy-like charm of this Ethereal outfit. Regarding this Yu Linglong costume, the tulle material on the body shows a beautiful translucent effect under the sun. The strap designs on the arms and neck are very agile, and paired with the pale gold metal accessories on the chest as well as butterfly elements, it increases the overall layering. The wig is a light purple gradient, paired with fluffy animal ears. There are many headpiece details, so I paid special attention not to get caught by branches during the shoot; fortunately, the final photos turned out ideal.

The light on the day of the shoot was very supportive; sunlight filtered through the flower branches, forming dappled light and shadow on the stone wall. To capture this natural and vivid atmosphere, we tried poses like casually sitting down on the stone wall or angles leaning close to the flower branches to gently sniff the blossoms. That feeling of being surrounded by a sea of white flowers allowed the ethereal charm of the styling to flow out more naturally. For the makeup, I chose to highlight the subtle shimmer of the eye makeup and the naturalness of the lip color, so that it echoes the hair color and the light tones of the costume in front of the lens, preventing it from looking too dull.

When shooting this set of photos, I also paid special attention to the extension of my posture. Because the character Yu Linglong from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT carries a strong sense of agility, I tried my best to avoid overly rigid posing, instead combining surrounding floral elements to make the movements look like casual candid shots. Although the outdoor sunlight during the day was abundant, it was actually a plus for this lightweight fabric, as it beautifully illuminated the embroidery and sequin details on the costume. With the weather warming up recently, I highly recommend everyone to shoot similar outdoor scenes when the flowers are in full bloom. I think doing a Spiraea thunbergii outdoor photoshoot is truly a great relaxation for one's mindset, being able to immerse oneself in the character and natural environment, bringing a different feeling with every photoshoot. I hope my experience can provide some reference for everyone in choosing locations and utilizing light in Cosplay photography.
