I put a lot of thought into preparing this custom design styling for Nahida, and today I can finally share it out. This time, I didn't completely copy the conventional clothing from the game, but instead combined Sumeru's Dendro element and the Goddess of Flowers inspiration to design an elf-style dress. First, in terms of the wig, I selected long curly hair with a gradient from silver-white to bright green, trimming the blunt bangs and stray locks on both sides of the cheeks, which can nicely flatter the face shape and fit the elf setting better. To highlight the fantastical feel in the facial makeup, I wore vivid green contact lenses, and applied obvious pink blush around the eyes and cheeks, creating a vibrant and full-complexion visual effect. For accuracy, I also specially custom-made a pair of long, pointed elf ear props. When wearing them, they need to be fixed around the auricle with special glue, and then made to look more natural in front of the lens through skin-tone edge transitions, while pinning white and light yellow floral hair ornaments on the top of the head and beside the ears to increase the sweetness.

In terms of clothing, the texture of this mint green and white dress is quite good. The upper body is a strap design, with cross light-green straps on the chest, and a large area of white stiff lace resembling butterfly wing veins used as corset decoration, dotted with a light green bow right in the center. The skirt hem adopts a multi-layered superimposed ruffle design, with delicate lace trims and hidden pattern prints on each layer. Because there are many layers, it actually has a certain weight when worn, so special attention is needed when walking and posing to prevent the laces from tangling with each other. On the back, I paired it with a pair of transparent material elf wing props, which produce beautiful refractive reflections under studio lighting. Both the edges of the wings and the headpiece are decorated with hand-fixed flowers, making the overall styling richer and fuller. On my right wrist, I wore a wide vintage brass-colored bracelet, adding a bit of exotic elements.

During the shoot, because both this outfit and the props are somewhat breezy and lightweight, I chose to gently clench both hands into fists and raise them in front of my chest, simulating a lightweight and cute posture. To fully showcase the texture of the transparent wings, the main light source tried to use side-backlighting, creating a circle of soft rim light around the character's edges, while using a softbox for the face to ensure a clean skin texture and reduce shadows. Although this Nahida custom design differs from the original design clothing, the color matching and element usage are made to lean toward Sumeru's style as much as possible, creating an atmosphere of a floral appointment by adding various flowers and transparent materials. The entire shooting process required constantly adjusting the position of the wings and the fluffiness of the skirt to achieve the best visual proportion. Every custom design attempt is to explore the character's possibilities under different styles. Looking at these finished photos, I feel that the preliminary preparation and test makeup time were well spent.
