[Megurine Luka cosplay] Studio Shoot Diary of Pink Hair, Blue Eyes & Black-and-Gold Attire

Completed an official Megurine Luka cosplay photoshoot set in a white studio in Huizhou. Because this session focused specifically on portraits and close-up framing, tailored calibrations were made from makeup styling to lighting setups. Regarding makeup, to channel Luka's signature cool detachment blended with gentle elegance, the eye styling featured layered, diffused sweeps of pink eyeshadow paired with vibrant light-blue contact lenses, pulling direct visual focus toward the eyes. The wig was selected in a soft pink shade with natural luster, styled with blunt bangs and pin-straight side locks framing the cheeks. A signature black headband was worn atop the crown, its gilded edge borders echoing the costume's color palette seamlessly. The outfit embodies her classic black-and-gold scheme, with the golden trumpet accessory on the chest catching pronounced specular reflections under studio lights. Because the prop possesses strong three-dimensional presence, I maintained an upright upper-torso posture, lifting my chin slightly while holding a microphone with a black foam windscreen to define a cleaner jawline. The lens used was a medium telephoto set to a wide aperture, allowing the white studio backdrop to blur away into a soft, seamless haze. Throughout shooting, I constantly refined the angle of catchlights in my eyes to ensure a lucid, translucent sparkle. Such medium close-ups place immense demands on facial expression control—the slightest slackening risks looking stiff—so I continually reminded myself to relax the corners of my mouth while directing focused energy toward the musical prop details. The entire studio session proceeded with great fluidity; the lighting technician added a softbox on the flank to bring rich tonal gradation to the golden garment accents. During subsequent photo selection, the synergy between the gaze and microphone angle proved exceptional, and the finished atmospheric aesthetic completely met expectations.
