[Yang Yuhuan cosplay] The gorgeousness and sexiness of Fate/Grand Order Bride styling

The convention photos for this Fate/Grand Order Yang Yuhuan Bride outfit are finally out. A lot of thought went into this costume from preparation to actually wearing it. The overall design adopts a black-and-blue color scheme, matched with purple long straight hair, creating a very strong visual contrast. The edges and details of the wide-brimmed hat are adorned with metal rings, adding plenty of layering to the overall styling. To fit the character's setting, purple eyeshadow was deliberately chosen for the makeup, echoing the hair color. Maintaining the wig was quite energy-consuming; the long straight hair easily became messy with movement during the shoot, requiring re-combing every time a pose was changed, while constantly making sure hair strands didn't stick to the lips and affect the shooting results.

In terms of props, a wooden guzheng was prepared to match the theme of this shoot. Moving the guzheng into the venue was truly hard work, and its placement and lighting angles required repeated adjustments. The metal hair stick prop held in hand was actually a bit heavy, but in order to maintain the tension of the pose, I tried hard to keep it steady. The upper body of the outfit features a crop-top strapless design, while the lower body has a high-slit skirt, allowing a large area of leg lines to be well displayed when walking, showcasing the character's sexiness and confidence. Paired with over-the-knee geometric-patterned long boots, although it made the leg lines look sleeker, walking around the convention floor for a day really tested physical endurance. The metal rings on the boots also reflected light under the lighting, adding a sci-fi and metallic texture to the overall styling.

When shooting these convention photos, the lighting inside the venue was extremely complex. To highlight the main subject, the photographer put a lot of effort into fill lighting and post-processing. To ensure the dynamic feel of the ribbons, we repeatedly tried multiple swings and candid captures, striving to present the most natural and flowing state. As a Fate/Grand Order player, being able to present Yang Yuhuan in the form of a Bride felt very special. The character of Yang Yuhuan herself carries a luxurious and mysterious aura, and the Bride theme endows her with even more romantic colors. In terms of performance, I tried my best to fit this aura, deliberately showing a poised confidence through my gaze and body movements. The action of holding the hair stick with my left hand close to my neck actually required adjusting the angle many times during test shots, so that it wouldn't block the facial contour while still showing that dangerous, sexy atmosphere.

The environment at the convention site was actually quite noisy with people coming and going. Being able to quickly enter the character state in such an environment and maintain a natural expression is a great exercise for a cosplayer. Although convention photos lack the ample setup time of a formal photoshoot, the moments they capture often feel more vivid. While walking around the convention with this styling, quite a few people stopped to take photos, which gave me a great sense of accomplishment. The folding fan and scroll in the foreground provided a nice framing composition for the shot, which, paired with scattered pink flower petals, broke the dullness brought by the large area of dark tones. Overall, my performance this time was relatively stable, successfully presenting the feeling I wanted to express. I hope to have the opportunity in the future to shoot this outfit in a more perfect outdoor location photoset.
