This set brings a cosplay work featuring ATRI. The shooting location was set along an expansive lakeshore; to match the ambiance of time suspended in stillness, we patiently waited for the softest lighting hours. The Sailor suit forms the core of this entire series—the white fabric reveals a semi-translucent texture against backlighting, while the blue collar and sleeve stripes stand out vividly, anchored by the red neckerchief as the visual centerpiece of the frame.
Styling the wig took considerable care, as ATRI's pale-golden long locks hold a very specific wave. The iconic twin tails at the crown and dark ribbon hair accessories needed precise placement, as even a slight offset could make the head look rigid. Cosmetically, to recreate the character's gaze, I wore reddish contact lenses and kept the foundation clear and dewy, emphasizing skin translucency to get as close as possible to the clean, pristine visual impression of the original work.
The shooting process involved quite a bit of physical effort. In Photo 1, wading through the shallows holding my shoes in hand, gentle waves continuously lapped against my calves, demanding careful balance while walking—though the sunlight dancing across the water's surface was undeniably breathtaking. In Photo 3, I sat atop a massive boulder with legs dangling naturally; the rock's surface was rough, so sitting barefoot required a bit of endurance. The wind was intense, and to capture strands of hair caught in the breeze without turning chaotic, we experimented with several angles around that boulder. In Photo 4, balancing on one leg with arms outstretched on the sand was meant to convey her buoyant, playful spirit; carrying the shoes in hand was an impromptu touch that turned out surprisingly vivid.
In conveying emotion, I avoided exaggerated expressions. The essence of ATRI lies in her pure sense of quiet companionship, so I tried to keep my mind calm and still during the shoot rather than forcing a performance. In Photo 2, sitting on the rocks with knees slightly bent in quiet serenity against the wide waters and distant hills was an attempt to evoke the illusion of frozen time. The refraction of light on the water, the skirt fluttering in the breeze, and the faint ripples at my feet—these dynamic elements paradoxically accentuated the character's inner stillness.
The post-production color grading favored fresh, natural daylight tones without heavy filter overlays. I hope these captures allow everyone to feel the gentle warmth of the sea breeze grazing the cheek.
