[Ryuge Kisaki cosplay] Blue Archive: The Composed Leader by the Waterside Corridor

This Outdoor photography shoot for Ryuge Kisaki from Blue Archive aimed to showcase her signature blend of composure and mystery within a traditional Chinese garden setting.

For the costume, I wore a modified dark blue Chinese-style Qipao with frog buttons and golden dragon embroidery, blending traditional elements with a modern touch. To reflect her casual, laid-back vibe, I layered a loose, dark blue-gray pinstriped long coat over it. The coat was draped casually over the shoulders or slipped down to the arms during the shoot; this relaxed, deconstructed styling added a cozy, everyday feel rather than a purely theatrical aesthetic. The high side slit paired with black patent leather heels visually extended the leg line while fully revealing the outfit's silhouette in both seated and standing poses, striking a balance between elegance and subtle allure.

For the hairstyle, I styled black-and-blue double buns paired with long twin tails. The translucent glowing halo prop above her head served as the soul of the outfit, adding a ethereal touch between reality and illusion. The prop featured this time was a long rifle model, requiring good arm and core coordination when holding it. Instead of stiffly posing with the gun, I integrated it as an extension of my body—such as leaning single-handedly on a wooden pillar with the rifle or resting it beside me on a bench—using natural movements to convey her "everything under control" presence.

The location was chosen at a traditional Chinese corridor by the water. Deep reddish-brown wooden pillars provided a strong structural frame that contrasted beautifully against the cool dark blue costume. We experimented with several poses during the shoot, capturing both standing shots leaning on pillars and relaxed moments sitting on the bench with crossed legs. While the high slit highlighted the body lines, seated poses required careful attention to undergarments and posture to ensure a natural look without accidental exposure. Gentle breezes and soft lighting near the water tested hairstyle stability and facial composure, but capturing that serene, eyes-closed moment felt completely natural.

Throughout the process, portraying her leadership qualities relied not just on outfit styling, but on stepping into that calm inner state. Every gaze, slight tilt of the head, or gentle angle aimed to reflect her quiet poise. Walking on stone pavers in heels and holding poses all day left my feet sore, but seeing the frames match my vision made every bit of effort worthwhile.

Bringing a beloved character from screen to reality while using authentic environments to enrich her depth is why I love Cosplay sharing. Through costume textures and scenic harmony in the corridor by the water, I did my best to recreate her cool, composed, and inspiring charisma.
