This shoot's theme was locked onto Moriya Suwako from Touhou Project. To echo the character's inherent attributes related to nature and frogs, I specially selected this ravine with minimal artificial traces as the outdoor location. This costume is actually very sophisticated in design and texture, especially that highly recognizable frog-styled hat on top of the head. The two large eyes are not only vividly shaped but also coordinate with the hanging long red ribbons, bringing out excellent dynamic visual effects in the ravine's wind. The body of the dress adopts a patchwork design; the white fabric looks soft and loose, with layered lace trim at the cuffs, while the chest is embedded with intricate patterns interwoven with purple, pink, and gold, neutralizing the monotony of the overall styling. Holding the golden ring prop not only aligns with the original setting but also serves as an excellent visual focus during the actual shoot. This beautifully completes the character's Frog look.

Regarding the shooting environment, although today's stream looks crystal clear, stepping into the water actually feels extremely icy, and the rocks are exceptionally slippery. To make the frames under the lens look natural and full of dynamic movement, I attempted various poses. For instance, standing on one leg in the water to feel the stream current flowing across my ankles, or holding the ring while walking on the gravel, simulating a sense of exploration. When crouching on the moss-covered giant boulders, I needed to carefully find my center of gravity; otherwise, it would be very easy to slip into the water. The photographer was also highly adept at utilizing this environment, reasonably incorporating the water reflections, the moss-grown boulders behind, and the scattered dead branches and greenery into the composition, which saved the entire photo set from the dullness of pure studio shoots. This showcases the true charm of Outdoor photography at a Stream location.

For the makeup, I deliberately emphasized a natural and clear feel, paired with the golden twin-tail wig, hoping to look harmonious and not abrupt under the natural outdoor light. I highly love this kind of immersive outdoor cosplay because it's not merely putting on the character's clothes, but truly stepping into the natural ecology she represents. The moment of standing barefoot by the stream, with the mountain valley wind blowing across the wide sleeves, carries a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. This set of cuts did not deliberately pursue a strong dramatic tension but rather hoped to present a tranquil, approachable state, just like the consistent style in Touhou Project—bearing a tiny touch of mythological color yet extremely close to daily natural settings. Preparing this costume and props indeed took quite a lot of thought, especially the fixing method for that frog hat, as well as the waterproof treatment of the skirt hem, ensuring that walking around the stream location won't become draggy due to getting wet. Although the entire shooting process felt a bit hard due to the icy stream water, when seeing the appropriate composition, light, and shadow in the viewfinder, that sense of satisfaction is entirely irreplaceable. I hope that through these natural framings, the character's innate nimbleness and raw ecological temperament can be transmitted, making all the repeated attempts at angles and poses in the pile of jagged rocks completely worth it. This truly highlights the essence of high-quality Moriya Suwako cosplay.
