I chose Shu from Arknights for this cosplay. To restore her ethereal yet lively temperament, I put a lot of effort into the makeup and styling. Especially the horns on the head and the hair color—I had to accurately restore the character's features and pursue perfection in details. At the shooting site, I specifically chose a space full of traditional Japanese style aesthetics, using trees full of Cherry blossom and soft natural light to create that quiet, water-like atmosphere. Regarding post-processing, I paid special attention to the presentation of texture. I wanted to retain the details of silk and embroidery while keeping the Cherry blossom feeling transparent and breathable. Many friends often ask me how to achieve cinematic colors on a mobile phone; actually, I have been exploring relevant retouching logic. Through precise color temperature control and shadow brightening, I let light and shadow flow between the face and the folds of the clothes. The biggest gain from this shoot was finding that tranquility in the character's soul. I repeatedly deliberated on the composition and angle of every photo, hoping to perfectly convey Shu's unique beauty. Seeing the moment in the finished photos where she appears faintly amidst the blooming flowers, I really feel that all the polishing and thinking beforehand were worth it.
