The summer outfit of Swimsuit Hoshino was finally successfully shot on the first day of the CICF Expo. This outfit looks refreshing, but actually wearing it is not simple. To restore Hoshino's lazy and cute traits, just fixing the pink halo and cat-ear-like styling on top of the head took more than half an hour. Because I had to walk around outside the venue, the halo couldn't be too heavy, and it had to ensure it wouldn't tilt under strong wind; in the end, several invisible hairpins and transparent fishing lines were used to fix it on the wig. The wig consists of pink waist-length long twin-tails, with some wispy hair treatment at the ends, paired with blue-purple contact lenses. The makeup intentionally intensified the pink and red blending at the outer corners of the eyes to fit the character's original eye color and temperament.
The outdoor location was chosen outside the CICF Expo venue. The sun was great that day, and the temperature was relatively high, perfectly matching this white crop top and shorts containing swimsuit elements. For the photography effect, the light cyan long-sleeve jacket was specially chosen with a fabric having good draping qualities, worn half-off at the elbows, which can increase the layering of the frame. The red choker and golden bell on the neck are the visual center of the entire outfit; when walking, the bell makes a crisp sound, which is highly recognizable.
A blue-and-white striped swim ring was prepared as a prop. To reduce the carrying burden, a lightweight style after inflation was specially chosen. The shooting poses mainly revolved around summer and leisure. When sitting on the ground hugging the swim ring, to make the leg lines look more slender in front of the lens, photographer Uncle Meow suggested that I turn slightly sideways and point my toes. Later, I also tried kneeling on a round cushion with both hands making a heart shape under the chin. That wheeled trolley was actually temporarily used as a prop, holding some personal belongings, and unexpectedly it turned out to have a strong sense of daily life atmosphere.
The height of the shoes is actually quite challenging; it's a pair of white thick-soled wedge sandals with bow decorations on the upper. Standing for a long time does make feet tired, but fortunately, the shooting process went smoothly. Uncle Meow was indeed tired for a whole day, from choosing locations, lighting to guiding poses, and the hard-earned fruit of his labor is this set of photos. The atmosphere of the convention was great, and there were many fellow enthusiasts outside the venue. Although passersby occasionally entered the background, it can also be considered the unique sense of realism of convention outdoor shoots. During this process, I kept adjusting my state, trying to get close to Hoshino's unique personality as much as possible, whether it's standing posture, sitting posture, or the conveyance of the gaze, hoping to restore the character's feel in the setting as much as possible. All in all, the shooting this day was very fulfilling, and the effect of the finished photos also reached the expected goals.
