Walking into the studio with this Saber cosplay gear from Today's MENU for EMIYA Family, the first thing that struck me was the fine texture of the outfit. The high-waisted blue skirt paired with the crisp white shirt, accented by the deep blue ribbon at the collar, truly captures that relaxed, cozy domestic vibe. Meanwhile, the black tights and flat shoes give the overall look a nimble touch beneath the formality, making it easy to pull off poses wielding a frying pan and spatula.

The setup at the studio was pleasantly minimalist. At Pure White Dimension Studio, the lighting was bright and the backdrop pristine. Once suited up in the outfit and styled wig, holding a black skillet and slotted spatula immediately brought that iconic big eater persona to life. This set serves as a 'Big Eater Teaser,' with posing inspired by a chef's playfully domineering yet adorable demeanor. Holding up the spatula in one hand and the skillet in the other perfectly captures the character's foodie spirit, echoing lines demanding a freshly cooked meal. The shoot was physically demanding because holding props while maintaining balance is tricky—especially when raising both arms, bending one knee, shifting all weight onto one leg, and lifting the opposite heel. Photographer 'There are Fish in the World' controlled light and shadow impeccably; the pure white background made the texture of the black stockings, the dimensional pleats of the skirt, and the metallic gleam of the utensils pop vividly. The white shirt fabric was soft, and I made slight adjustments around the buttons to keep the collar and ribbon perfectly seated.

The hair and makeup also strived to match the character design. The blonde hair and bangs were styled with airy volume for a classic, sculpted doll-like feel. For eye makeup, red contact lenses echoed the original art, balanced by soft blush and subtle lip color to fit the warm, everyday mood. The props felt substantial in hand—the black skillet and slotted spatula had genuine weight and cold metallic firmness. During walking poses, I nearly stumbled from shifting balance, as striking a haughty command pose with raised arms and tiptoe stance tests thigh and core strength. Thanks to the photographer's guidance in tweaking body tilt angles, we achieved this breezy, natural aesthetic. Using simple kitchen tools in a clean studio without flashy special effects successfully conveyed the joyful anticipation of delicious food—a down-to-earth, approachable take that everyday slice-of-life and gourmet anime fans will surely enjoy.
