Today's set of Convention photos from Firefly ACG Expo is finally sorted out. I woke up at 5:30 AM to start preparing, and just getting this blonde wig styled took considerable time—the cowlick on top and the plush pom-pom hair accessories required repeated adjustments to ensure they stayed perfectly aligned before the lens. To complement the crimson cosmetic contacts, the makeup utilized generous red-toned eyeshadow blending along with pronounced blush, ensuring a lively, radiant complexion even under strong outdoor daylight.

The outfit boasts an immense amount of layering. The base layer is a pink halter top adorned with a delicate plush brooch at the collar. Layered over it is a black diamond-quilted corset crafted from structured, rigid material; its metallic buckles and hanging charms feature fine craftsmanship, though cinching it was certainly a workout since the rear lacing had to be pulled taut to sculpt that cinched-waist silhouette. The detachable white flared sleeves on my arms are voluminous, edged with black trim and ruffled borders. While striking, they easily brushed against things when using my phone or checking my hair at the convention, demanding constant mindfulness. The lower pleated skirt features a glossy black finish that, paired with thigh-high Stockings and strap detailing, reflected subtle highlights as I walked, delivering dynamic texture.

The sunlight was quite radiant today. Although many frames were captured under tree shade, walking around outdoors in this multi-layered outfit still worked up quite a sweat. To showcase the intricate garments, I spent significant time discussing angles with the photographer. In particular, I proactively suggested several bending and forward-leaning poses, as they best highlighted the diamond-quilted texture of the waist while bringing the leg net stockings and strap accents cleanly into the frame. During shooting, the photographer consistently reminded me to maintain a playful smile, engage directly with the lens, and keep hand movements fluid. For one reaching-forward shot, we captured several takes in succession just to freeze that organic moment of fingers gently spreading as the sleeves drifted in the breeze.

While organizing the photos, I noticed that the color contrast of this outfit under natural lighting was exceptionally vivid—the clash of vibrant pink and deep black packed an undeniable visual punch. The interplay between the white ruffles on the sleeves and the black leather wrist cuffs also carried wonderful tactile contrast. While this ensemble was somewhat cumbersome to wear and move around in during a crowded event, seeing the final images made every bit of early preparation and effort on set worthwhile. As someone who loves exploring diverse fashion styles, bringing these carefully coordinated outfits to conventions and preserving them through photography is always a deeply fulfilling journey. My state throughout Firefly ACG Expo was wonderful, and I met so many warm, friendly photographers and fellow enthusiasts.

The over-the-knee stockings worn this time featured cutout ribbon-tie details that tended to slip down when walking, so I ducked into the rest area several times to readjust them. Attending a convention is genuinely an endurance sport, especially when wearing elaborate attire with corsetry and tall stockings that somewhat restrict movement. To sustain my energy, I took short breathers in quieter corners, sipping water to recharge. Yet the moment I stepped back in front of the camera and heard the shutter click, my spine naturally straightened to strike the sharpest poses. The makeup held up commendably today—thanks to setting spray, aside from slight shine around the nose, the overall base remained completely pristine. The red contacts popped brilliantly in the shots, sharpening my character's aura. In a convention environment bustling with vitality and clashing aesthetics, interpreting a beloved styling in my own personal way brings an immense sense of accomplishment. The garment's details represent not just visual layering, but a deliberate command over proportions and style. I love the unforced confidence radiating from these photos—nothing artificial, just the most authentic spirit of convention photography. I will continue embracing diverse fashion styles in the future, approaching every convention as a brand-new creative adventure.
