"You'd better listen carefully! You're not allowed to go anywhere until you've heard it all~" As soon as this classic line comes out, I believe many Commanders can immediately think of Cheshire from Azur Lane. This time, I've brought a photo set sharing her dreamy Oath Wedding Skin Anime style wedding dress look.

The idea for this shoot originally came from wanting to completely recreate the pure yet slightly playful characteristics of this Oath Wedding Skin for Cheshire Cosplay. For the costume materials, we specifically chose a white satin with a slight pearlescent feel as the main fabric, paired with heavy lace trim to create the layered stacking of the skirt. The deep V-neck design of the upper body is a very important point; controlling this cut not only had to match the character's original illustration but also maintain a stable shape during the actual shoot. After that, a white soft collar was added, and a highly transparent blue gemstone was accurately positioned right in the center; this spot is the visual center of gravity for the whole look. The large white bow shoulder straps below the collar and the hollow crisscross design at the corset give the overall look a bit more breathability and visual detail appreciation beyond just elegance.

As for the wig, I am very grateful to wig stylist Li Keke for her meticulous handling. This hairstyle uses a main color palette of interwoven misty blue and grayish-white, and specific optimizations were made to the curve of the bangs and the braids on the temples. When treating the hair strands, fine glitter was evenly sprinkled on them, so under the direct light of the softbox, the reflection of the hair looked like it had natural highlights, with a very soft texture. Paired with translucent blue color contacts and light pink eye makeup, I hope to present the character's dynamic and gentle eyes.

Let's talk about the collaboration with photographer Teacher Lin Hongmin this time. This entire set of Cosplay photography adopted a highly recognizable high-key lighting style. This lighting method requires the reflectivity of the studio walls, lights, and clothes to be highly unified, otherwise, it easily becomes overexposed or pale. Teacher Lin Hongmin controlled the incident angle of the light very well, giving the overall image a clear and breathable feel, so much so that even the semi-transparent lace texture of the veil is clearly visible. The background only used a minimalist white carved picture frame and sheer curtains; this subtractive composition instead highlighted the main subject, allowing the viewer's gaze to naturally focus on the character's facial expressions and the blue embellishment at the neckline.

The temperature on the day of the shoot was actually not low, and this Anime style wedding dress, plus the multi-layered petticoats and veil, had a considerable overall weight. Especially that veil with an excellent drape, it needed to be carefully arranged every time I moved. But precisely because the details are tedious, when the final photos were presented, I felt all the hard work was worth it. To materialize the sense of ceremony of this dress, in terms of action design, I chose a relatively static and relaxed sitting posture in picture one, paired with the action of fingers gently touching the neck, to create a sense of tranquility belonging to the moment of the vow. In picture two, with hands held high and a light posture, it shows her relatively lively side full of expectations.

Regarding the character of Cheshire, I have always believed that she is an existence that has entrusted absolute trust to the Commander. She seems carefree, but behind this Oath Wedding Skin, it is actually her deep affections. So when expressing this photo set, I paid more attention to the emotional concentration in the eyes, trying to fill the visual space with a clear and firm gaze. Overall, cooperating with the high-key, low-contrast photography style perfectly weakened the heaviness that the wedding dress might bring, adding instead a dreamlike, happy atmosphere. I hope that when everyone browses this photo set, they can also feel the unique romantic aura wrapped beneath this pure white vow.
