[Eriri Cosplay] Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Blonde twin-tails classroom daily life

Today I shot a set of classroom scenes of Eriri from Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend. As the coser, I want to talk about the thoughts and shooting details behind this set of photos. Eriri's most iconic features are her blonde twin-tails and black-rimmed glasses. For the wig, I chose a slightly lighter flaxen gold, trimming the bangs and sideburns to ensure it wouldn't look top-heavy when wearing glasses. The glasses were chosen to be a slightly rounder black frame, which fits the setting and makes the eyes look larger. To restore that tsundere yet somewhat straight-A student temperament, the makeup used a clear base, focusing on blush and eye makeup. The eyeshadow used a pink-brown base, paired with striking blue contact lenses; the complementary colors make the gaze look more vibrant.

Two styling options were prepared for the clothing. The first is a white short-sleeved Polo shirt paired with a dark green pleated skirt, giving a standard school uniform feel. The second is that loose green sports jacket with classic white stripes on both sides of the sleeves, paired with dark blue athletic shorts on the lower body. The shooting location was chosen to be an empty classroom; wooden desks and chairs, the green chalkboard behind, and metal lockers are all great backgrounds. The natural light filtering through the windows is especially suitable for creating a Japanese campus atmosphere. During the shoot, some poses were designed, such as sitting on the desk with the jacket half off, or leaning against the window holding a comic book with one hand. Over-the-knee black stockings and black leather shoes are standard equipment for this style, slightly revealing the edge of the thighs, which visually makes the legs look longer.

While shooting this set of photos, I kept pondering how to express Eriri's awkward vibe of being arrogant on the outside but actually caring a lot about what others think on the inside. Therefore, in terms of expressions, I didn't smile at the camera the whole time; instead, I carried a bit of scrutiny, or a slightly nonchalant coldness. In terms of props, a comic book was used, which not only enriches the frame but also makes the character's traits more multi-dimensional. The classroom scene comes with a sense of story; desks, lockers, and the chalkboard—any corner can produce a great composition. During the shoot, I encountered a few small challenges, such as the classroom window's contrast changing rapidly, requiring constant adjustments to camera parameters to restore skin texture and clothing colors as much as possible, while finding a balance between overexposure and underexposure. During post-processing color grading, I deliberately retained a slightly cool-toned hue, which has a youthfully aloof feel and also strengthens the overall emotional mood of the frame.

This shoot went very smoothly overall, and I am quite satisfied with the output photos. From the makeup and styling to the location, down to the presentation of every single action, I hoped to concretely showcase that blonde twin-tailed tsundere image.
