[Sharing Diverse Roleplay Outfit Styles: Seeking Long-Term Collaboration Partners]

Having planned the long-term partner requirements for so many character sets, today I will organize my current thoughts on shooting and finding partners. Being based in both Beijing and Urumqi, my requirements for geographic matching are quite clear, and I hope to find photographers and partner friends for long-term cooperation. Lately, while sorting through my costumes and props, I realized that for many popular game and anime characters, it's very difficult to fully recreate them alone, especially for combinations that require two-person interaction or possess narrative tension. For example, pairings of melee and ranged classes, or partners with deep bonds in the storyline—the visual impact of these parts must rely on an excellent partner to be brought out.

When planning specific shooting styles, I lean toward staying as close to the character settings themselves as possible. The fabric material of the costume, the accuracy of the props, and the styling of the wig all directly impact the quality of the final photos. For my own looks, I make corresponding makeup adjustments based on the character's personality; for example, for tougher characters, I will draw the contours more three-dimensionally, while for characters who lean toward being agile or possess divine attributes, I will use a more translucent and lustrous makeup technique. In terms of photography, the advantage of a studio shoot lies in controllable lighting, making it easier to highlight the details and texture of the costume, whereas outdoor locations can utilize the light and shadow of the natural environment—such as cherry blossom groves or reflections by a lake—to give the frame a stronger sense of breathing. I am also currently planning a centralized character group photo session in the future, which will require more roles to participate in this project.

Regarding the search for partners, there are currently many combinations with clear corresponding plans. The style spans across different works are actually quite large—ranging from ancient-style chivalrous heroes to more modern cyberpunk or steampunk-inspired designs, and then to fantasy-style settings. This requires us to share a common aesthetic and understanding of the characters. I have prepared the corresponding full sets of costumes, some featuring complex armor structures, some relying on flowing fabrics to display dynamic beauty, and some props with special treatments on materials, such as components with illuminating effects or mirror reflections.

From my shooting experience, managing the rhythm of the entire shoot and post-processing planning is actually quite important. Before the shoot, I communicate the positioning of movements and the storyline we want to present with the photographer and partner, which can improve live workflow efficiency. For many exquisite looks, dressing up fully takes half an hour or even longer, so early preparation work must be meticulous. I prefer to communicate the general post-processing direction with the team based on the basic sample photos taken, preserving the innate beauty of the person while maintaining a realistic atmosphere for the overall frame without excessive fake modifications. This professionalism comes both from valuing the character portrayal and out of respect for the cooperating photographer and partner.

In addition, I am also considering the selection of outdoor locations. Some ancient buildings and modern blocks in Beijing are perfect for shooting a sense of contrast, while the natural landscapes in Urumqi, such as forests and snowfields, will add a special layer of texture to the costumes. Because I plan to produce photos over the long term, a good buddy is more important than anything. Encountering a highly compatible photographer can save a lot of communication costs; the images envisioned in everyone's minds are often very close, so the efficiency and quality of the final photos will see a noticeable upgrade.

Moreover, regarding some characters that combine Chinese style and 2D elements, when wearing traditional embroidery or clothing with totem patterns, special attention must be paid to the mechanical support of props, otherwise, they easily fall apart during dynamic movements. I have already categorized and recorded the difficulties and details to watch out for these characters, and once the partner is in place, we can practice targetedly together. Although paying attention to the rhythm when following each other and booking shoots across various platforms is necessary, I still feel that offline chemistry is the most important. Therefore, when a local photographer or buddy matches perfectly in aesthetics, the entire process of participation becomes incredibly fun and meaningful. The few looks displayed in the photos also manifest my ability to handle different visual styles. I hope that through this long-term recruitment, we can turn more beloved character settings into real, textured works rather than just talking on paper. This love for characters and works is the source of power that supports me in always holding myself to high standards. I will continue to update more dynamics later, maintaining high standards for both shooting and post-production.
