[Sakuraba Ema cosplay] Magical Girl's Witch Trial black and white uniform styling - Image 1

This time, I am bringing you the cosplay of Sakuraba Ema from Magical Girl's Witch Trial. Let's first talk about the details of this costume. The top is a classic black-and-white color-blocking design, with clear white stripes on the lapels and cuffs of the black jacket. The inner layer is a white ruffled shirt, tied with a black bow at the neckline, and inlaid with a pink circular gemstone right in the center as an embellishment, breaking the dullness of the large area of black and white. The lower body consists of white shorts, with a black leather leg garter featuring a metal ring and studs tied around the right thigh; the luster of the metal and the texture of the leather visually add a lot of layering.

In the choice of wig, to fit the character, I wore a silver-white short bob with distinct bright pink highlights on the inner side of the hair ends. The iconic black "XX" hair clip is pinned in front of the forehead. In terms of makeup, pink contact lenses are the core, and a large area of pink eyeshadow and blush is used around the eyes, creating a dreamy yet slightly mysterious temperament. On top of the black beret, the left side is decorated with two pink-and-white plumeria flowers, matched with a bow tied from black ribbons, making the overall styling even richer.

The shooting location was chosen indoors, with white curtains as the background and a white plush sofa placed next to it. The overall lighting leans towards a soft warm tone, and the light coming from the side makes the texture of the picture very translucent. To better showcase the characteristics of this costume, I made quite a few adjustments in posture. Sitting on the plush sofa, I raised my left hand to grab the cuff of the jacket, with my right hand naturally placed in front of my chest. The camera position was lowered slightly, which can well showcase the leg lines and that leg garter with a metal ring. The black straps are very eye-catching against the white background and white shorts, forming a strong visual contrast. At the same time, the gaze needs to remain focused, looking straight into the lens, bringing out a confident yet slightly mysterious demeanor, which is also the key to restoring Ema's character personality.

In terms of the material of the costume, the black jacket is relatively crisp and not easy to wrinkle, making it very suitable for striking various poses. The ruffles of the white shirt need to be tidied up slightly so that their layers stack naturally. When styling the silver-white wig, attention should be paid to the volume to avoid sticking to the scalp, and the pink highlights at the hair ends should fall naturally without looking too abrupt. The entire shooting process was very smooth, and the tailoring of this outfit is also very well-fitting. Every time I do cosplay, from the preparation of the costume to the depiction of makeup, to the adjustment of lighting and angles during shooting, every step needs to be treated with care, so as to bring the 2D character into reality as much as possible.
