[Genshin Impact Cosplay] Visiting the North Ring Collaboration: Unlocking a One-Day Tour of Home City Mondstadt

The Genshin Impact x Universal Studios Beijing collaboration event arrived as expected on April 21st. Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, I specifically prepared a Mondstadt style outfit for my visit.

For the wig, I selected a light blonde long-hair style, styling it with natural fluffiness and gentle bang curves. Paired with light base makeup, subtle light-colored eyeshadow, spirit-lifting contact lenses, and a touch of lip color, the goal was to create a refined outdoor vibe that felt natural yet energetic. As for the attire, I wore a white collared shirt with blue line accents as a base layer, complemented by a striking yellow-and-black striped neckerchief and a dark outer jacket. Under natural outdoor light, the overall texture looked layered and fit the collaboration theme perfectly—friends around me said it looked like I had stepped straight out of the game. The pin pinned to my chest added a clever touch; standing in the sunlight, the full ensemble felt remarkably complete and recognizable.

Arriving at Universal Studios Beijing, I headed straight to the event area, greeted by a deeply immersive castle set. The blue sky canopy paired with faux stone masonry walls, alongside a central arch decorated with festive wreaths and blue banners, pulled the event's immersive atmosphere straight to the max. Black bench seating was neatly arranged across the venue beneath white parasols, accompanied by gray worktables, so there was no need to worry about chaotic backgrounds or poor lighting during shooting. This real theme park scenery feels far more vivid than studio backdrops—as sunlight poured down, the texture of the castle walls and colors of the decorations looked effortless and natural. Holding up the camera for a selfie here felt as if I were genuinely back on a cozy afternoon in the streets of Mondstadt.

When doing Casual cosplay outdoors, the most critical factor is the seamless fusion between character vibe and environment, and the North Ring collaboration clearly invested immense effort into venue arrangement. Even without studio lighting equipment, the natural light contrast between the subject and background was just right, making every casual shot look finished immediately. During the shoot, the cheerful atmosphere among fellow fans in the park was palpable—everyone engaged comfortably, helping each other find optimal angles to record these exclusive memories for ACG enthusiasts. The wig and costume held up beautifully against movement and gentle breezes without losing texture or looking greasy under bright sunlight, with detailed makeup holding firm under close-up inspection.

As someone who loves cosplaying and shooting photos everywhere, encountering an officially created immersive scene like this is truly rare. There's no need to hunt for obscure social media photo spots—simply standing in front of the set and adjusting expressions and gestures at your own pace yields satisfying, natural check-in photos. This time, I specifically chose a close-up shot gesturing upward as the main cover image, which not only offered complete composition but also clearly highlighted character expression and styling details, perfectly capturing that authentic travel check-in feeling. Although the entire outing was somewhat tiring, being able to wear my carefully prepared costume and wig on such a special collaboration day to experience a fresh sense of character immersion in the park made it all deeply meaningful. I hope future collaboration events become even richer, giving players who love immersive experiences more opportunities to embody the beautiful screens from games into real life.
