[Luo Tianyi cosplay & Yuezheng Ling cosplay] Luo Tianyi & Yuezheng Ling in March Rain

For this shoot themed around the setting of March Rain, I did Luo Tianyi cosplay, while Ling was portrayed by @满船清梦. The scene was set in a traditional garden featuring rockeries and stone steps; the natural lighting that day was extraordinarily soft with excellent diffuse reflection, saving us a lot of effort on fill lighting. I wore Tianyi's aqua-blue modified dress featuring subtle damask patterns, red frog closures on the chest, white piping, and an innermost layer of beautifully draped white gauze sleeves. To complement the mood, I held a red paper umbrella throughout the shoot; the solid wood ribs carried noticeable weight, requiring me to shift arm leverage over prolonged holding. Ling's red-and-black robe was exceptionally imposing, with the striking black-and-blue sash and geometric diamond motifs at her waist, while the custom-made long red-and-black antennae atop her head required careful balance to wear, complemented by a black sword in hand. When framing two-person shots together, we focused on capturing candid moments of holding hands and exchanging gazes. Standing on the tiered stone steps, we had to watch our footing constantly while adjusting our garments and umbrella to avoid snagging or being obstructed by rock edges. The photographer mastered composition brilliantly, seamlessly blending the rockery carvings, lush greenery, and our contrasting red-and-blue tones. The color grading handled by post-editor @迟早 preserved the cool gray texture of the garden without excessive skin smoothing, rendering very natural frames. Doing a Luo Tianyi & Yuezheng Ling project had long been an aspiration of mine; from preparing costumes and makeup tests to on-site shooting, the entire process demanded attention to countless details. Being able to complete this shoot together with Ling and preserve this classic memory of Chinese VOCALOID was a deeply fulfilling and grounded creative journey.
