[Hatsune Miku Cosplay] Full Set of Hatsune Miku Photos from Firefly ACG Expo

At the recently concluded Firefly ACG Expo, I brought my carefully prepared Hatsune Miku cosplay look to the event venue. This outfit took a lot of effort to polish, whether in costume details, accessory fidelity, or overall atmosphere. The top features a sleeveless silver-gray waist-cinching design with a subtle shimmer, while the bottom is a classic black pleated skirt paired with an iconic teal tie—crisp and neat. The broad, detached arm sleeves are particularly eye-catching, featuring patterns and ribbon textures resembling electronic instrument panels on the surface, which convey both a solid mechanical feel and the lively traits of a VOCALOID diva.

The head-mounted headphones feature red and black decorative trim, echoing the sci-fi tech attributes of the original design. For hair and makeup, I spent considerable time styling the classic teal twin-tail wig, striving to make it look naturally fluffy and smooth in front of the camera without appearing heavy or artificial. The red "01" mark on the left arm is, of course, an indispensable classic element of fidelity.

For the lower half, I paired Black pantyhose with custom black-and-teal color-blocked chunky platform shoes. This combination not only lowers and stabilizes the overall center of gravity, but also visually elongates leg proportions. The Black pantyhose creates a clever synergy with the overall cool color palette and metallic-textured costume, demonstrating wonderful styling layers when photographed at the booth.

The booth set for this photoshoot was arranged very thoughtfully. A blue-and-white checkered floor mat was laid on the ground, blending harmoniously with the main teal tone of the environment. Stacks of Hatsune Miku fufu plush toys and various Miku merchandise were piled beside the shelf and computer desk behind me, in such numbers that it felt like standing inside a Hatsune Miku themed bedroom. Pixel art paintings in matching colors and event posters hung on the walls, alongside a clothes rack filled with teal-themed apparel and even a white gaming chair matching the surrounding color scheme. Every corner of the booth arrangement was packed with a rich 2D atmosphere.

On set, I tried various poses and interactions. Whether sitting quietly in the gaming chair with legs extended to display composure and confidence, holding an exquisite teal folding fan to partially cover my face, or cradling a cute plush toy to make eye contact with the camera, every pose effectively conveyed the character's rich personality. The combination of Black pantyhose and platform shoes showcased great line definition during transitions between sitting and standing postures, making the overall posture look sharper.

Wearing this Hatsune Miku cosplay outfit at the convention, greeting fellow fans, and taking photos was truly a rare enjoyment. From styling the wig and adjusting clothing to maintaining high energy during the expo, although physically tired, seeing the images captured in the lens and everyone's appreciation for this look made all those efforts deeply meaningful. These convention photos from Firefly ACG Expo not only recorded this Hatsune Miku look, but also captured my fulfilling time enjoying 2D culture at the convention.
