Bringing Yin Ziping's Chalcedony ice core design from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT to life required meticulous preparation from start to finish. The outfit incorporates extensive semi-sheer white chiffon and delicate lace, layered intentionally so that strong studio lighting casts a translucent rim glow reminiscent of icy jade. Her silver-white tresses were styled beforehand with ample hairspray to keep the high topknot sculpted and the trailing strands flowing cleanly.
The shoot took place in a classical room defined by dark wood textures, where deep-toned latticework and wooden armchairs created stark contrast against the pure white ensemble. Photographer Po Gu Zhi introduced a warm hearth-like glow from the front-left alongside a cool-white key light, sculpting dimensional facial planes while ensuring the gown's highlights and shadows retained clear separation rather than washing out into flat white.
The low-angle shots with an elevated leg posed the greatest physical challenge: wearing White over-the-knee socks while keeping one leg lifted atop the wooden chair demanded strong core stability to steady the torso. Meanwhile, the skirt folds required constant adjustment to maintain clean leg silhouettes and a snug, even sock fit. Earlier seated profile shots highlighted the delicate lace textures along the bodice and waist, fulfilling our goal of honoring Yin Ziping's cool, noble serenity through refined Chinese-style photography.
