[Klee Cosplay] Genshin Impact Spark Knight's Birthday Commemoration

This set of Genshin Impact cosplay photos celebrating Klee's birthday is officially released today! Before the shoot, considering the character's magic attributes and lively nature, I set up a warm-toned backdrop consisting of fireplace light and vintage brick walls.

Let's start with the costume accuracy. The wide-brimmed red witch hat is the soul of this look—its conical tip paired with white curved patterns adds a lively, playful charm unique to the character. For the white shirt, I chose a short-sleeved style with lace trim, neatly gathered at the cuffs to stay comfortable without looking bulky. Layered over it is a cropped black vest with front button closures. The huge red bow on the chest serves as a visual focal point, with its gold metal ring detail carefully chosen to match the overall outfit. A thin red leather belt with a rectangular buckle transitions the waistline between the upper and lower body, leading down to a layered, fluffy red skirt with white ruffled edges that add depth to the frame.

Plenty of effort went into the makeup and accessories as well. The pale beige-blonde wig was trimmed at the ends, with bangs styled into a natural curve to soften facial contours. The elf ear props on both sides were skin-tone treated for a seamless blend with my cheeks, paying close attention to the angle between the ears and hair when attaching them. For eye makeup, I used reddish-brown contact lenses paired with a blush technique that creates a gentle flush under the eyes, giving a naive yet curious gaze that closely mirrors the character's in-game expressions.

During the shoot, I brought a beige backpack prop. Made of a soft material with khaki straps, placing it beside me added a warm, lived-in feel while breaking up the monotony of the dominant red and black tones. On set, we utilized a simulated fireplace in the background; the warm yellow flame cast on me created natural shadow lines along the inner hat brim, cheeks, and jawline. This lighting enhanced the dramatic atmosphere, making the red outfit appear richer under the warm light.

As for posing, I opted for a relatively relaxed seated posture, leaning slightly forward with hands folded between my knees. This pose conveys the character's approachable charm without making body lines look stiff. The camera shot from a slight high-angle, allowing the wide hat brim to create a subtle framing effect that naturally focuses attention around the eyes. Details like the brick wall, carpet pattern, and fireplace firewood helped build the ambiance, ensuring the subject remained sharply focused throughout.

Going through this entire process was both a tribute to the character and a way to refine my photoshoot approach. Capturing these moments on her birthday—with a mix of cozy warmth and whimsical fantasy—made for a truly memorable photoshoot experience.
