When I first got this outfit, I kept thinking about which poses would best express the character's inner feel. So this shoot didn't stick to stiff standing poses; instead, combining a sofa, carpet, and a floor full of blue flower clusters, I tried three different states—lying down, sitting, and kneeling—attempting to convey that serene yet sharp demeanor through body language. The outfit design is clever: black-and-white tailored cuts combined with blue straps and cutout details make it look sleek while maintaining soft elegance. The black sleeve covers on the waist side and arms create a striking contrast against the white main garment, resulting in clear visual layering.
I specifically selected elf ear accessories beyond the wig as key props for this elf ears cosplay styling. To make the fine braids on the forehead and blue tassels at the ear tips look natural, eye makeup echoed the overall blue-and-white palette to emphasize eye clarity. The prop sword was another centerpiece of the shoot: its cold-white blade paired with gold and orange accents on the hilt delivered incredible texture under cool light sources, feeling weighty in hand without being overly heavy.
The set design played a huge role. Pure white European-style arches combined with ice-blue rim lighting from behind, alongside fluffy carpets and floral materials like baby's breath and blue hydrangeas in the foreground, instantly transported the atmosphere into a snowy realm or enchanted forest. Under such contrasting light, controlling front soft fill light was demanding—ensuring bright, translucent facial skin tones without drowning out the ethereal feel brought by the blue rim light behind.
During filming, I deliberately avoided overly complex combat poses, aiming instead to present the quietness when the character lets down her guard. Thus, several barefoot shots were included; unburdened by shoes and stepping on the soft carpet, reclining relaxed or sitting on the sofa brought out that languid yet noble elf aura naturally. However, to capture flying pants and ribbons—such as the kneeling pose holding the sword—we tested repeatedly to catch the exact moment hair and skirt hems fluttered together.
The overall shoot atmosphere was intensely focused. Though studio air conditioning was blasting, wearing layered costume designs while shifting poses repeatedly proved to be a physical test. In particular, the side-lying pose on the sofa required holding stretched body lines while keeping a carefree expression, demanding real muscle control. Fortunately, the final cosplay photography results were fantastic. This blue-and-white design was exceptionally expressive before the lens, withstanding scrutiny whether capturing deep environmental wide shots or close-ups focusing on facial and neck ornament details. Reviewing the photos with the photographer afterwards, we agreed that a character combining divinity and gentleness fits cool, noble sets perfectly. Fully surrendering oneself to the role and immersing in this crafted fantasy world was a truly enjoyable experience for this game character recreation.
