Today, I finally sorted out this photoset of Hinako Shimizu from "Silent Hill f". The overall tone of this shoot was set to dark wasteland style and survival horror. To restore that state of fighting through a depressing environment, a lot of thought went into destroying and aging the clothes beforehand. The edges of the sailor uniform were hand-torn to create frayed edges, and custom-mixed fake blood was smeared on the bow and clothes. In terms of props, the blood-stained steel pipe was almost never put down throughout the entire shoot. To capture a realistic sense of weight, I specially tested its weight, and core strength was a must when swinging it, otherwise the movements would easily distort—which is why some dynamic candid shots look particularly strenuous.
The makeup mainly highlights that pale, fatigued yet extremely resolute and fierce vibe. The eye makeup was drawn relatively deep, adding battle-damaged abrasions and splashed bloodstains, and the fake blood was reapplied several times during the shoot. Photos 1-3 were shot by Mumu, mainly using red lighting with the ruins corridor to create a sense of oppression of approaching danger. Photos 4-6 were in collaboration with Hanlin, incorporating a fox mask and fur props, combined with fields of red spider lilies and smoke, aiming for an absurd sense of post-apocalyptic combat. Photos 7-8 were handled by Haiyang, and I especially want to praise the red-and-green lighting inside this abandoned building; the symmetrical composition is very cinematic.
Regarding the character Hinako Shimizu, I feel she possesses a very complex trait—both fragile and possessing extreme aggressiveness, which also fits the aura of the "harshest mother" that everyone jokes about. On-site, to maintain this state, I spoke very little and tried my best to immerse myself in that tense emotion. There were many mosquitoes in the outdoor ruins, and I was often scratched by branches wearing damaged clothes, but it's all worth it for the visual effect. Moving forward, I will continue to release works in different styles, and I've also been researching new special effects makeup recently. I hope everyone likes this presentation.
