This Kindergarten Hoshino look consists of Convention photos shot on Day 3 of the 37th New Year's Firefly ACG Expo, presented in an outdoor natural light environment. When I initially decided to cosplay this look, what attracted me most was that childlike charm imbued with everyday life vibes; the overall color palette features macaron shades, making it visually healing.

For the wig, I specifically chose a soft-textured light pink long straight wig, whose smooth drape makes the overall head styling look light and airy. The facial makeup focused on presenting heterochromia—the deep orange-red right eye contrasting sharply with the bright blue left eye for clear recognition, paired with slender eyeliner and subtle blush to make her gaze look adorable yet ethereal. The multi-tiered pink ring halo fixed on top with a bracket is one of the soul elements of this look; combined with a bright yellow bucket hat, it catches the eye instantly in a crowd while beautifully highlighting the character's innocent, cheerful personality.

For the outfit, a loose light blue jacket was selected, paired with a clean white collar and a pink bow, adorned with a red name tag on the chest and a dark blue pleated skirt below, faithfully recreating the classic kindergarten uniform color system. In terms of details, to fit the character's slightly dazed and innocent setting, a beige adhesive bandage was deliberately placed on the knee—such a seemingly casual detail adds plenty of everyday vitality. The crossbody yellow pouch with a round blue sea-creature plush pendant gently swayed with every step, serving as a great interactive prop during convention photos. The legwear featured classic white stockings and red-soled white flat shoes, which not only harmonized with the blue and yellow color blocking above but also visually elongated the leg lines.

This photoshoot was taken by photographer @八次方根. On D3, the outdoor sunlight was abundant, bathing my face and body in natural light that rendered the cheerful macaron colors even more translucent. The photographer excels at capturing this fresh, energetic outdoor style and handled skin and clothing textures skillfully. During the shoot, we moved along park tree-shaded paths and curbside stone steps; sitting on the lawn steps, we used natural light and shadow alongside shallow depth-of-field background bokeh to polish clean character contours and details. For a cosplay set with high color saturation and rich elements requiring overall balance, prop and costume synergy is demanding; fortunately, the resulting soft, cute, and gentle texture completely met expectations.

As a character with strong personality tension in Blue Archive, Hoshino's kindergarten outfit isn't filled with her usual laziness, but rather gains a touch of student-like playfulness. This set captured the exceptionally clear sunlight on Day 3 of Firefly ACG Expo, preserving Hoshino's gentlest side through the lens. Whether tilting her head on steps with hands cupping her chin, standing to adjust her hat, or sitting by the curb with legs relaxed, every pose seeks to convey her clean yet slightly mysterious demeanor. Browsing through these Convention photos after the expo still brings back memories of pink hair and props blowing in the wind that day, alongside perfect backlighting under the sun. I hope this presentation of Kindergarten Hoshino allows everyone viewing to feel the fairytale charm filled within the light and shadow.
