[Tsukiyuki Miyako cosplay] Blue Archive: Cool Summer Times by the Pool

This summer swimsuit look of Tsukiyuki Miyako from Blue Archive is finally ready to meet everyone. In order to capture a refreshing and natural effect, we specially chose a studio with an outdoor pool and a sandy area for this summer photography session. The overall outfit uses a silver-white wig and a pure white off-shoulder short-sleeved top as the tone for the upper body, paired with a dark blue one-piece swimsuit. This color contrast effectively highlights the cool summer feeling. The white small ear decorations on the head and the ponytail accent add a playful and cute touch to the entire look. To match the light and somewhat lively characteristics of the anime girl character, the makeup was not made too heavy, focusing on the eyes instead, with light pink eyeshadow blended on the lower eyelid and light-colored contact lenses, making the eyes look more transparent and spirited.

The temperature on the shooting day was actually not low. With high-intensity studio lighting combined with outdoor natural light, the atmosphere inside the studio was very stuffy. Moving back and forth between the sandy area and the lounge chair to change poses in this swimsuit was indeed a test of physical stamina. Although the white and dark blue spliced swimsuit is lightweight, the off-shoulder design requires constant adjustment to maintain the ideal position and avoid shifting or looking loose. Fortunately, the photographer was very patient. When I was lying face down or side-lying on the lounge chair, they would remind me to pay attention to the strength of my neck and shoulders, allowing the body lines to be presented through a natural sense of relaxation. This cover photo was chosen from an angle of leaning slightly on the white lounge chair. This pose not only showcases the cut of the swimsuit but also naturally extends the leg lines. The detail of propping up my chin with my fingers combined with a gentle wink captured a very relaxed moment.

The prop layout inside the studio was also very interesting. In addition to the sand and pool, colorful small leather balls and a pink donut inflatable float were prepared nearby. These elements added rich colors to the plain frame, making the overall tone lean more towards a cheerful and bright candy color palette. During the shoot, I tried my best to interact with these props, such as sitting by the pool and letting my instep gently skim across the water surface, or leaning my arms on my knees to make simple gestures. This kind of body language, which does not require too much deliberate design, often produces a more natural, life-like effect.

In fact, as a coser, when presenting this kind of summer theme, beyond simply replicating the clothing, I hope to convey an atmosphere where the character blends into the scene. This swimsuit focuses on comfort and a body-hugging effect in its design and material. The tulle ruffles on the upper body provide a subtle sheer look while also considering the practicality of sun protection, while the dark blue lower half visually provides a slimming effect, which helps a lot with the presentation of proportions. Behind every final photo, it took multiple adjustments of the lighting angle and wig styling. Silver-white long hair easily looks frizzy under strong light, so the stylist carefully smoothed it out beforehand to keep the strands looking sleek and flowing naturally.

This shoot was also a great attempt for me. Under the constraints of an outdoor environment, showing the character's state by combining water and sand tested my adaptability on set much more than a pure indoor studio shoot. Fortunately, everyone cooperated seamlessly. We shot from when the sun was high in the sky until the light and shadows became soft. The changes in lighting and environment actually brought out different atmospheres in the final shots.
