Today I finally finished this long-awaited look, especially putting on my favorite little white dress; the whole process made me incredibly happy. I've always wanted to find an opportunity to do a proper shoot for this character, and this time I tried out the styling in two different indoor scenes, which fulfills a little wish of mine.
Let's start with the hair, makeup, and props. The character's long, straight pink wig is exceptionally smooth; the length and curve of the bangs were adjusted for a long time before the shoot, and I specially reinforced it to fit the hair accessories. The halo prop on top of the head, featuring half-moon and star elements, is highly eye-catching, and its pink-to-purple gradient material has a dreamlike texture under the lights. Once put on, the overall proportion is just right without feeling top-heavy, and it stays very stable while walking around. I'm truly fortunate that the props were prepared so perfectly this time.
Speaking of clothes, I prepared two different outfits to present this time. The first is a classic black-and-white striped style with a relatively slim tailoring. The neckline and cuffs are stacked with layers of lace trim, paired with a black bow to add a touch of playfulness to the girlish vibe. Sitting on the bed in this outfit, combined with the white thigh-high socks and Mary Janes, concentrates the visual focus on the leg lines, looking absolutely stunning under the indoor warm light. The second outfit is a pure white dress with golden piping decoration along the neckline and a large dark blue bow accessory on the chest. The fabric of this dress has an excellent drape, and the sleeves are designed as loose puff sleeves, making the whole look very light and adorable. While shooting this set, I specially changed into criss-cross lace-up high heels and struck some relaxed poses on the sofa.
The preparation for the shooting process was actually a bit more tedious than expected. At first, when setting up the bedroom scene, adjusting the hanging angle of the white tulle bed canopy took quite a while. The vintage small desk lamp nearby provided an excellent local warm light source, creating a beautiful gradient luster on the wig. Later, when moving to the sofa scene, to coordinate with the overall frame, we brought over pillows with moon and star patterns and added the white crescent-shaped little wing props. During a break in between, I casually hugged a plush bear nearby, instantly making the frame feel much more grounded in daily life.
To capture natural moments, I repeatedly adjusted my sitting posture on the sofa several times. Especially during the high heels shoot, I simply took off one shoe and held it in my hand, striking a rather lazy pose. Combined with the white socks, it delivered a sense of casualness blended with a touch of confidence. This angle happened to completely capture the facial contours and body movements into the frame, and I personally adore this snapshot. I was initially worried that the lighting on the sofa would look a bit harsh, but the actual transition between light and dark turned out very soft, giving the entire photo set a powerful sense of atmosphere.
Honestly, every time I do this kind of anime cosplay that requires numerous accessories and layered clothing, it takes at least two hours minimum—ranging from changing outfits and smoothing out creases to adjusting lighting and finding angles. It does get a little tiring during the process, but every time I see the playback on the camera, I feel everything was worth it. Standing here to share these little behind-the-scenes moments with you all, without too many flowery descriptions, I simply want to document the process of my diligent preparation and the joy of putting on clothes I love. I hope these frames can convey the character's gentleness and liveliness, leaving me with highly unforgettable memories in front of the lens for this convention photography and girl photography.
