[Aglaea Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Weave and Snatch Shoot: Zephyr Reunion with Cifera

On September 12, we completed our Honkai: Star Rail 'Weave and Snatch' themed photoshoot at the Louvre venue. For this shoot, I portrayed Aglaea, partnered with @巧脆几何 as Cifera, with photography captured by Xianyu.

Aglaea's attire features extensive use of sheer chiffon and lustrous silk textiles, granting the skirt hems and trailing ribbons sweeping kinetic elongation whenever in motion. However, during actual shooting, such fabrics demand rigorous lighting precision, requiring the photographer to capture subtle specular reflections flawlessly. The venue's natural marble floors and warm sconce illumination harmonized beautifully with the gilded metallic trims across the costume, yielding rich tactile definition before the camera. To achieve the dynamic billowing hemline seen in Photo 2, my partner and I walked up and down the staircase repeatedly, calibrating the exact split-second pivot to let the textiles drape into organic arcs—all while balancing weight carefully across the leg straps and golden stilettos to maintain sure footing.

Cifera's styling offered a striking visual counterpoint to mine. A black leather corset paired with sapphire-set pauldrons, capped with a cat-eared hood and an immense plush furry tail, struck a bold harmony between aggressive poise and charming cuteness. Because the tail carries substantial physical weight, my partner had to brace it by hand to shift center of gravity during seated poses (such as Photos 3 and 4). While framing along the staircase, utilizing the elevation offset of the balustrades created dynamic geometric depth. Our shared interactions—clasping hands and trading glances—took repeated trials to discover that effortless, organic chemistry.

The entire shoot was packed with intricate styling and wardrobe details, from Aglaea's gilded neckpiece to the chiseled metallic filigree across Cifera's boots, demanding constant positioning checks prior to every take. Photographer Xianyu provided invaluable compositional guidance, especially in duo frames, ensuring both contrasting sartorial identities stood out distinctly while keeping the visual balance unified. The session tested physical stamina to the limit—navigating flights of stairs in heels and sustaining poised composure under warm continuous lights in dense leather. Yet seeing the exquisite interplay of chiaroscuro lighting across the garments made every ounce of effort profoundly worthwhile. We hope these frames transport everyone back into that heartfelt tale at the end of the West Wind.
