For this Zenless Zone Zero Remielle swimsuit photoshoot, we decided to shoot on location at an outdoor water park. To faithfully bring this loadout to life, I devoted considerable care to everything from pre-shoot wig trimming to fine-tuning garment details. The pink short hair had to be cut and styled to achieve that fluffy, textured dimensional volume, while the white cat ears at the crown and seashell hair clips along the sides were affixed only after repeated placement checks—after all, prop stability is paramount when shooting by the water.

The swimsuit's design boasts rich, delicate nuances: a white halter-neck one-piece with an ultra-deep plunging V-neckline spliced with translucent baby-blue and lilac ruffled frills. To capture the authentic texture of the canonical concept, I hand-applied custom decorative patches across the chest seamlines. The cutouts along the midriff and waist also demanded that I keep my core fully engaged throughout the shoot to maintain sleek, defined bodily lines. The translucent blue-and-purple ombre gradient chiffon skirt worn around the lower waist served as the absolute soul of the outfit; with brisk lakeside winds, controlling the billow of the sheer fabric was notoriously tricky, yet the resulting candid captures looked enchantingly weightless.

The sun was blazing on shoot day, casting intense specular glare across the water's surface, which posed quite a challenge for exposure balancing and fill-lighting. The photographer, Pianli Chidao, was fantastic at harnessing natural illumination, allowing us to experiment with various playful poses in the shallow splash zones. In the frame where I reach out with one hand while winking, we stood in the pool for quite a long time just to catch the breeze playfully whipping through hair strands; holding a relaxed, organic facial expression under blinding direct sunlight truly tested my facial muscle control. Posing atop the floating pink inflatable swim ring presented its own hurdle: due to unpredictable buoyancy, I had to flex my core to stay balanced while wielding a novelty water gun with cheeky charisma, fighting to prevent tipping over into the pool.

Regarding makeup, considering prolonged outdoor sun exposure and humidity from splashing water, both the base foundation and eye makeup had to feature maximum waterproof and sweat-resistant performance. Eyeshadow mirrored the pinkish-purple palette of the wig, while magenta-violet cosmetic lenses gave my gaze translucent, lively sparkle. The pearl choker adorning my neck and the metallic chain bracelets on my wrists gained extra drag once submerged, feeling delightfully chilly against the skin, yet these accessories were decisive in elevating the overall styling's luxury and intricate finish.

As a cosplay photoshoot, the most tedious aspect was managing the garment fabrics once drenched. Once soaked, lightweight chiffon tends to cling awkwardly to the legs, collapsing its airy silhouette, meaning I had to manually fluff and reset the skirt after almost every sequence. For the kneeling pose in the shallows where reflections shimmered on the water, finding stable footholds against the coarse pool floor was essential—striking a balance between visual elegance and preventing abrasions.

Though physically demanding, seeing the final edits completely preserved that crisp summer aquatic joy alongside the character's signature charm. This styling not only highlighted the character's nuances, but also harmonized beautifully with the vibrant summer theme.
