[Dialyn Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Offline Observatory Guest Agent Field Notes

Upon receiving an invitation from the Master of the Inter-Knot Capital Observatory, I attended this Offline event in character as Dialyn to rendezvous with our fellow Proxies. Here are my impressions and behind-the-scenes reflections as a specially invited Guest Agent.

For hair and styling, I went with a striking Black and white twin-tails cosplay coordinate complemented by panda-themed hair accessories. Strong contrasting palettes like monochrome black and white are notoriously tricky to groom, particularly when aiming to maintain texture and surface sheen under chaotic convention lighting; setting and sculpting the wig demanded considerable effort. Every curled strand had to be anchored firmly with styling spray, and fortunately, the final presentation captured the character's signature silhouette faithfully. The wardrobe featured ruffled black-and-white tailoring accented with a numbered chest badge, complemented by the retro telephone handset prop held in hand—all deliberate touches to embody the character's aesthetic.

Because this was an Anime convention cosplay appearance at an active Offline event, my role as Guest Agent involved continuous interaction with visiting Proxies, demanding sustained energy and poise throughout the day. The convention hall was packed, with lines forming and crowds gathering around the booth during photo ops and greetings. Experiencing that degree of enthusiasm from everyone felt like the ultimate reward for long hours of preparation. The pacing on-site was relentless, constantly adapting to photographers' angles while greeting queued attendees. Brief moments of respite meant leaning against the booth partition with closed eyes to recharge stamina.

From early makeup prep to final coverage, the process was exhausting, yet seeing the resulting frames capture both the character's persona and the electric convention floor made it immensely gratifying. Posing with the telephone receiver or smiling toward the lens and seeing the raw previews confirmed we achieved our target fidelity. Beyond the hair, the most demanding elements were the ruffled accents around the shoulders and arms along with the black scalloped trims, which required snug, natural alignment against the body to avoid looking bulky.

Participating as a Guest Agent meant not only hosting interactions, but also fully immersing myself in the festive atmosphere. Navigating the non-stop momentum and testing angles repeatedly under shifting venue lights was grueling, yet nothing across a digital screen compares to this genuine in-person connection. Stepping across dimensions to celebrate the lore of Zenless Zone Zero face-to-face with the community was deeply refreshing and offered invaluable live-event experience for future projects. I hope everyone enjoys these event photos, and I look forward to meeting everyone again offline as new characters!
