The set design this time maxed out the dark red-and-black aesthetic. The entire studio was filled with a sea of red blossoms, antique crucifixes, and scattered skull models. The moment I first laid eyes on this set by @漫刻时光, I knew it was absolutely the ideal location for shooting Rumia. The interplay of light and shadow was breathtaking—red ambient mood lights struck the black skirt hem and white blouse, delivering a sharp visual impact that instantly pulled you into the narrative. To master this scene effortlessly, I invested considerable thought into prep communication.

Great care was poured into the costume's nuances. The ruffles of the white blouse, the multi-tiered black jacquard skirt, and that iconic oversized red ribbon all had to strictly match the character design. When applying makeup, I deliberately deepened the eyeshadow blending and paired it with red colored contacts, aiming to convey that slightly perilous yet hollow gaze. White stockings and black Mary Janes were essential; while maintaining seated or kneeling poses throughout the shoot was somewhat tiring, the resulting visual payoff made it entirely worthwhile. The makeup also held up exceptionally well through the extended session.

During shooting, the small skeleton model served as the most important prop. When interacting with it, I tried treating it like a real friend or a companion I could lean on. Holding it in my arms, whispering near its ear, or resting against its shoulder naturally channeled that gap between an adorable 'I'm still hungry~' demeanor and chilling coldness. To capture that eerie yet poignant mood, I focused intensely on expression control—neither smiling too joyfully nor looking overly fierce, but sustaining a quiet, oppressive presence. Where my gaze fell, the curve of my fingers—these minute details all shaped the final texture of the frame.

Photographer @春秋分 captured brilliant angles, especially the closing shot holding the antique bronze mirror, where the gaze reflected inside juxtaposed against the soft-focus blonde hair outside brought instant depth. The lighting setup demanded acute expertise; the balance between key and rim lights had to be precise to make the character pop from the dark backdrop while preserving the fabric weave of the dress and the delicate petals. Focusing and exposure in such a dim environment posed immense challenges, but the final frames turned out wonderfully clear and luminous.

In post-processing, @我爱吃火鸡面 and I prioritized polishing skin texture and harmonizing the overall color palette. We avoided aggressive skin smoothing, retaining natural texture and authentic radiance. The red hues in the backdrop and florals were subtly toned down to prevent them from overpowering the frame, keeping visual focus squarely on the eyes and character interaction. The tonal identity of the set remains cold and alluring with a touch of the uncanny.

Shooting this set was deeply thrilling, with smooth teamwork across styling, makeup, and set design. Bringing a vision long held in my mind into tangible reality is inherently rewarding. The clash of red and black remains an eternally classic visual pairing. Exploring varied compositions and narrative interactions within a single set deepened my connection to this character even further.
