[Nicole Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Cunning Hares Boss's Industrial Style Photoshoot

Today, this outfit, hair, and prop set for the Cunning Hares boss was finally brought into a heavy industrial setting for a full Cosplay photoshoot. From getting the costume to finalizing makeup and shooting, a tremendous amount of energy went into recreating the confidence and sharp efficiency unique to this character.

Shooting in real outdoor locations or actual set studios tests far more than just putting on clothing and striking a few poses; it prioritizes how well costume texture resonates with the surrounding environment. For location selection, we specifically chose a real-scene studio converted from an abandoned factory. Rugged steel structural frames, massive metal protective meshes, mottled graffiti walls, weathered red pipes, and yellow-and-black hazard tape stretched everywhere—all worked together to intensify that wasteland and underground industrial zone atmosphere for this Industrial style cosplay shoot.

We prepared an array of props during the shoot, most eye-catching being the brown vintage briefcase, alongside green military ammo crates used for footrests and leaning. I experimented with many different body languages. For example, stepping one foot onto a crate, lowering my center of gravity, with my right hand resting naturally at my waist—presenting a relaxed, composed boss demeanor in full control of the room. Another was raising that vintage briefcase high with one hand, as if displaying results to a client after completing a tough commission, eyes filled with provocation and confidence. The most impactful shots were likely those low-gravity crouching or ambush postures—the combination of long boots and black stockings demonstrated strong power within the hardcore scene, while bringing out the character's signature sexy and flashy flair.

The hairstyle served as the soul of the entire look—beyond selecting signature long curly pink hair, the black cat-ear accessory atop added a touch of playfulness to the overall demeanor. The black-and-white color blocking of the outfit is classic, while the bright yellow tactical fanny pack served as the visual focal point; amid cluttered heavy industrial backgrounds, these vivid colors became bright highlights in the frame. Paired with black thigh-high stockings, heavy biker boots, and a complex harness system, mecha and techwear vibes burst through vividly in this Anime-style photography work.

When shooting this set, the lighting engineer spent immense effort crafting light and shadow tension. High-contrast hard light struck the subject, rendering leather arm guards, fabric folds, and boot lusters in fine detail. Especially in side-backlight moments, rim lighting along hair strands made the figure pop out from the scene, preserving the raw texture of industrial metal while seamlessly blending the character's supple traits. To capture every moment precisely, we repeatedly adjusted several movements—such as looking back attentively on a steel frame platform, or dropping low to prop one hand on the floor for balance. These actions tested both costume fit and physical balance; completing a sequence of moves often left my legs sore.

The outfit's details stood up to close camera inspection—the black-and-white sleeve cuff splicing, red-and-black arm badges, black choker, and various waist straps were all key to faithful character representation. Only by arranging every single detail properly can a character's true aura emerge before the lens. Under wasteland-style metallic structures, long pink hair and the bright yellow tool pouch sparked a wonderful chemical reaction, giving the entire frame both a combat-ready tension and the captivating charm of a dangerous figure.

I feel this creation maximally presented the Cunning Hares boss's spirit of being adept, confident, and flamboyant facing any commission. In front of the camera, I wasn't merely posing, but releasing the character's own energy, endowing every single frame with a strong narrative feel. Combining a great outfit, hair, makeup, and prop set with an outstanding venue and expressing it through the lens—that is the ultimate joy of Nico cosplay.
