[Citlali cosplay] Genshin Impact Citlali: Photoshoot Chronicle in Purple Attire and Pink Tresses Amid Classical Scenery

This official Citlali cosplay photoset is finally complete. From first studying her character design sheets to the final retouched cuts, the entire process was a continuous cycle of refining details. The sleeveless midriff-baring top in purple and black, accented at the neckline with vibrant geometric patchworking, took considerable effort to craft and fit. In particular, the circular chest emblem embedded with a teal gemstone and the lavender geometric necktie draping across the bodice required multiple trips to craft supply stores to source materials with the right tactile finish. To authentically honor the character's signature look, I specifically chose a wig featuring vibrant pink gradients and twin braided pigtails; the two black-and-blue annular circular hair ornaments at the crown required extensive pin work to achieve symmetrical alignment. For makeup, the focus centered on azure contact lenses and the pinkish-purple geometric markings across both cheeks; graphic linework like this easily gets swallowed by lighting on camera, requiring an exceptionally clean base application.

The lower half of the outfit boasts intricate layers: the tricolor miniskirt in blue, purple, and pink incorporates numerous geometric patterns and trailing ribbons that easily snag during motion, requiring constant resetting from my assistant during the session. The teal gem ornament at the waist and the gilded metal armbands serve as crowning touches, casting metallic specular glints under key lights to inject a futuristic sci-fi edge into the styling. On my feet were black platform sandals with cross-straps wrapping up the calves punctuated by golden triangle studs; though elaborate to lace up, they flatter the leg contours beautifully. During kneeling and cross-legged poses, the constriction of the leg wraps demanded greater core engagement to hold balance.

The set dressing for this shoot was exceptionally elaborate: a vintage European room appointed with a gilded carved sofa, wooden easels with oil paintings, a gramophone, and classical cherub sculptures. The floor was carpeted with white sheer gauze and vibrant faux blossoms. Cradling or lifting plush cushions patterned with geometric motifs and abstract expressions allowed me to blend effortlessly into both the environment and character lore. The on-site floral arrangements and draped fabric, combined with warm amber ambient interior lighting, lent the finished cuts a dreamlike aesthetic poised between classical oil paintings and contemporary anime art.

During posing, I explored diverse postures—standing while presenting the plushies, sitting on the floor, and reclining against the sofa. My absolute favorites are the captures seated along the sofa and bed edge, where natural light filtering through sheer curtains catches the purple skirt flounces and pink hair strands, delivering superb color saturation and tonal gradation. When shooting a character rich in geometric motifs and bold palettes, facial expression discipline and relaxed body mechanics are paramount to channeling her unique presence. Because the costume is detail-dense, I constantly checked whether the wig was veiling my face or if accessories had tilted, all while balancing prop presentation. The shoot was demanding, yet seeing the flawless collision of chiaroscuro and color in the final cuts makes every ounce of effort worthwhile. I sincerely hope everyone enjoys this collection.
