This newly opened studio named Cosmate Studio in Nanjing Aqua City is truly a pleasant surprise. Taking advantage of the weekend, I scheduled this winged classroom sportswear style Anime-style photo set that I've been wanting to shoot for a long time. The space of the Nanjing photography studio is much larger than expected, and the partitioning is planned very reasonably; it won't be like some studios where it's packed with props and you can't even turn around. Whether it's a gentle style, cyberpunk, or a school uniform look, you can find corresponding and exquisite real-life scene setups, which is a major plus for a casual cosplay vibe. For this shoot, I chose the classroom scene, paired with my own white feather wings and a sports jacket, pushing the overall atmospheric feel to the max.

In addition to the hardware environment, their soft services are also quite excellent. During the booking stage, the staff patiently understood my needs, giving recommendations on shooting duration and scene previews. On the day of the shoot, they could even switch the background music based on the characteristics of the character the cosplayer was portraying, which was incredibly helpful for quickly getting into character. For photographers or cosplayer friends who frequently run around studios in Nanjing, the geographic location here can be considered uniquely blessed. The studio is directly opened inside Aqua City, with convenient surrounding transportation and an abundance of options for dining and bubble tea. If you come over to shoot a photo set after attending a convention with friends, it saves time and effort, making the overall experience very smooth without worrying about changing venues or looking for a place to eat. The process of shooting an Anime-style photo set actually relies heavily on the studio's lighting and overall selection rate. The lighting arrangement here is quite sophisticated; the position of the softbox can bring excellent rim light to the profile and face. Combined with the backlighting atmosphere of natural light from the window, the captured quality is indeed fantastic. Plus, the details of each real scene are made with a sense of daily life, so the photos already carry a strong sense of storytelling without requiring overly complex post-processing.
