[Sunna cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Collab with Angels of Delusion, Eating Chicken Nuggets at KFC

As soon as the KFC collaboration with Zenless Zone Zero dropped, I rushed over right away. As a player who has always loved Sunna, being able to wear her iconic mint green twin tails and full outfit set to enjoy this collab meal pushed my anticipation to the max. This wig has incredible texture; I spent a long time styling it to match the bangs and side curves as closely to the original art as possible. Adding the black heart-shaped hair clip and cyan antenna-like hairpiece gave a level of character accuracy I was really satisfied with. For makeup, I used light yellowish-brown contact lenses to simulate the character's eye color, slightly accentuating the under-eye blush to make the overall look more lively with a subtle tsundere anime feel. Of course, the black choker around the neck couldn't be missing—it's one of the souls of Sunna's styling.

The outfit was fully custom-made—a white puff-sleeve crop top paired with a black ruffled tutu skirt, complemented by pink-and-white striped arm sleeves, white thigh-high socks, and a leg ring. Honestly, this outfit is extremely photogenic indoors, but the restaurant was quite crowded on event day. Walking through the crowd tested outfit stability, requiring constant adjustments to the leg ring and sock positioning. However, for great photos, this minor hassle was completely worth it. The packaging design for this KFC collaboration was truly thoughtful: the top of that pink portable cardboard box features two white wings that combine to feel like a mini storage crate, while the front acrylic window reveals a chibi Sunna illustration—making it a phenomenal prop to hold for photos. I also included the drink bottle in the shots; the small graphics on the bottle sticker were super cute, and I even took a photo after taking a bite out of a chicken nugget just to add a realistic touch of everyday life.

In the store, I actually ran into several fellow fans. Everyone helped each other take group photos and exchanged tips on wig styling and photo editing. For post-processing this time, I mainly added pixel-art style blue stickers and musical note effects to give the overall image a light, rhythmic feel. The table was covered with a collab placemat featuring interactive art between Colonel Sanders and the character, adding a fun cross-dimensional charm. During shooting, I experimented with various angles—close-up half-body shots showcasing expressions and headpiece details, as well as full-body shots incorporating the life-sized standee in the background. Sunna's pose on the standee was making a finger heart, so I matched her with a similar gesture, creating a genuine sense of connection with the 2D character.

As a regular in the cosplay scene, I feel the significance of this collab event isn't just about eating fast food, but bringing in-game content into 3D reality for an immersive player experience. I chose fabric with a slight crispness and structure so the skirt hem and sleeve cuffs maintain their silhouette rather than sagging. The wig hair strands were anti-tangling; even after wearing it half the day, a spritz of smoothing spray at home brought it right back to shape. Since shooting in a public restaurant environment meant complex ambient lighting, I adjusted color tones in post-production to ensure skin tones and wig colors stayed color-accurate. Overall, this Sunna outfit turned plenty of heads in the restaurant and provided so many joyous moments.

When editing these photos finally, I chose the one with the most complete composition—showcasing the full-body styling and thigh-high socks—as the cover image, because I feel it best expresses the aesthetic of the character's overall design. The collab meal itself tasted similar to usual, but with character merchandise boosting the experience, it tasted extra delicious. I hope to see more cross-over events like this in the future, allowing both cosplayers and players to have a blast.
