This shoot was set under the theme of 'Robin Knight,' adding more knight-style elements to her original little bird persona. Before the shoot, the most time-consuming part was the tailoring of this costume, especially the gold pattern decorations on the chest and the drape of the cape. To achieve the ideal fit, every detail was repeatedly adjusted several times. The use of colors in making this outfit was highly sophisticated; the color-blocking of sapphire blue and pure white perfectly matches the character's core tone.
The wings worn this time are a size larger than previous ones, with a gradient transition from white to purple. Combined with the golden winged halo overhead, the entire aura instantly emerged the moment I finished putting everything on. The addition of the wings makes the overall visual silhouette look much fuller. For the makeup, I maintained a clear and pure feel, paired with the light purple wig and hair accessories, hoping to present a trait that has both knightly heroism and gentle softness. The luster also looks very natural under the lights.
The golden throne at the shooting location was extremely magnificent. Together with the carefully arranged Roman columns and the huge arched cutout window on the side, sitting on it instantly brought an added sense of nobility and sacredness to the entire photo set. I experimented with various possibilities in choosing poses; whether it was the elegance of slightly raising one hand or the coolness of crossing my legs while holding a sword, I tried to convey different facets of this 'knight' through my body language.
Regarding the prop sword, from the details of the crossguard to the design incorporating purple flowers, it harmonized beautifully with the overall costume during the shoot. Whether held horizontally, vertically, or placed diagonally by my side, it perfectly balanced the center of gravity of the frame. Although it was my first time trying a look with knightly elements, I am very satisfied with the final photos, especially those showing my full body and wings, which fully released my physical expression and tension.
Robin's core character traits leave plenty of room for imagination. This upgraded 2.0 version made some new visual attempts, such as the purple gradient wings and the small golden ball decorations on the tall boots, making the texture of the photos look a bit more substantial and three-dimensional. The photographer was also extremely patient during the process, constantly guiding my movements and expressions, striving to showcase the side of 'Princess Little Bird' more completely and elegantly.
In addition, the design of the tall boots this time is also a part I really love. The color-blocking of blue, white, and gold, combined with the plush pom-pom buckle decorations on the outside, enriched the styling of the entire lower body. Paired with pure white over-the-knee socks, it highlights the unique spiritual vibe of a knight while keeping the overall color palette unified. The coordination with the photographer during the shoot was also seamless; through minor adjustments to the lighting, the luster of the golden throne formed a beautiful warm-and-cool contrast with the blue and white colors of the costume.
Every photoshoot is another layer of understanding of the character, feeling her essence through the costume and props. I hope this new style, filled with both holiness and coolness, can bring everyone a slightly different visual experience through its detailed presentation.
