[Kochiya Sanae Cosplay] Journey of Faith at Xiamen Ziyu anime convention

Sharing photos of Kochiya Sanae Cosplay from Day 1 of the Xiamen Ziyu anime convention. Cosplaying Kochiya Sanae from Touhou Project this time, fewer than ten people recognized me on-site, which felt wonderfully peaceful and low-key. Because the shooting pace was relatively slow, I had plenty of time to adjust my posture and condition. This blue-and-white outfit is an altered Japanese-style dress with a very voluminous skirt, paired with black criss-cross high heels and white over-the-knee socks (featured in this White tights cosplay styling). Wearing the whole outfit carries substantial weight, especially the large skirt hem, so I had to be very careful not to step on it while walking. The headpiece features a frog motif, and the wig was specially styled as long green hair. During the shoot, I held golden bell props and ribbons; controlling the fluttering curve of the ribbons definitely required technique, and holding my arms up for so long made them sore. Midway through shooting, I also had to constantly smooth out wrinkles on the white stockings and lace trim on the dress to ensure the best look on camera. Because it was a niche character, there was none of the usual crowded chaos, making the experience much more relaxed. The costume has plenty of details—blue printed patterns over a crisp white base look very refreshing. Sincere thanks to the photographer for their immense patience while adjusting the lighting. I selected the third photo as the cover because the frontal angle clearly showcases the full view of the dress and leg lines. When standing still to adjust my pose, a breeze happened to blow by, making for a great candid capture. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable shooting experience; as a cosplayer, I truly appreciate this peaceful photo-making process. Even though preparing props and packing up costumes is cumbersome, seeing the finished photos makes everything worthwhile.
