[Aozaki Aoko cosplay] Mystic Eyes Killer Glasses and Vintage Wooden Trunk: Tsukihime Remake Outdoor Photography

The theme for this shoot was Aozaki Aoko, choosing her everyday white T-shirt and denim look from the Tsukihime remake. Prepping the props took considerable dedication—especially the Mystic Eyes Killer glasses snatched from her sister, for which I tracked down an identical black-framed pair, accompanied by a weathered vintage wooden trunk. The weather on shoot day was fantastic: the blue sky and green meadows provided a natural canvas, and the brisk breeze was perfect for sending the long Red hair dancing in the air.

To capture Aoko's confident and breezy demeanor, the photographer utilized a low-angle wide perspective, making the silhouette appear tall and poised amidst the grass. Standing atop the grassy knoll facing the wind required tight core and back control to maintain steady balance. For the seated ground shots, we switched to a wide-aperture lens to melt the foreground wildflowers into a soft blur, creating a tranquil, daydreaming mood gazing into the sky. The final close-up holding the glasses was captured during peak golden light, focusing sharply on the frames with carefully measured finger placement so as not to obstruct the prop's character, while the wooden trunk in the background naturally grounded the retro atmosphere.

During breaks, we also framed shots by the waterside. The evening light was exceptionally gentle, and paired with the sound of shimmering ripples, looking back over my shoulder yielded organic, effortless captures. To faithfully recreate her gaze, I wore light-colored contact lenses; facing the wind all afternoon left my eyes rather dry, yet the final results were thoroughly rewarding. Although this long red wig was quite extensive, it flowed with breezy elegance while walking outdoors, blending with the vintage props to produce a remarkably comfortable texture. Shooting in grassy fields inevitably attracts mosquitoes, so I strongly advise fellow cosplayers to prep mosquito repellent. I deeply enjoy integrating 2D characters into authentic natural environments—this shoot made me feel fully immersed in that world where magic and everyday life intertwine, making it an unforgettable Cosplay photography experience.
