This Mid-Autumn Festival, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the PSD Annual Gala party, taking advantage of the holiday to deliver this set of Cosplay photo sharing deliverables. I spent a long time preparing the wardrobe and styling well beforehand, and the atmosphere on set was truly incredible—not only did I meet many talented fellow creators, but we also exchanged great photoshoot insights.
First, let's talk about the initial duo look: to harmonize with the classical mood of Mid-Autumn, my partner and I opted for an Eastern fantasy aesthetic. My blonde styling paired a dress weaving white and gold tones with black gloves and satin high heels; to elongate my proportions before the camera, I deliberately turned sideways and arched my instep. My partner's white-haired look with plush ear pieces was exceedingly gorgeous—their black, red, and white outfit carried striking textural depth set against wooden folding screens and plum blossom branches. We continuously fine-tuned our sitting postures on the traditional wooden chairs, exploring varied crossed and extended leg angles until locking down a deeply satisfying composition.
The second look is a personal favorite in vintage ornate opulence: blonde hair and blue eyes matched with a plunging white lace gown, accessorized with a plush white fur stole to enhance overarching luxury. Framed against deep crimson drapes, lighting concentrated primarily across the face and the statement necklace; maintaining a tall, upright posture throughout was vital to carry the garment's regal weight, channeling a distinctly mature allure.
The final two sets showcase a Western-style dreamlike White dress photoshoot look. Echoing the romantic spirit of Mid-Autumn, I chose a short white lace bridal dress paired with sheer white Stockings cosplay and white high heels. Because the fabric consists predominantly of sheer tulle and lace, dynamic movements easily cause bunching and creasing, requiring every gesture to stay remarkably soft. In Photo 3's kneeling pose, lifting the bridal veil with both hands required firm core stability and steady knees, angling my chin slightly downward to bring out gentle tenderness in the eyes. In Photo 4's seated pose holding the floral bouquet, relaxing the leg muscles while extending the ankles allowed the white-stockinged legs to look exceptionally slender and graceful. Soft lighting harmonized with pink floral arrangements, white birdcages, and classical doorframes to create a clean, luminous ambiance.
A full day of shooting was an intense test of endurance—standing in heels for hours while endlessly checking wig volume, touching up makeup, and smoothing garment drapes—yet seeing the final frames made every moment worthwhile. The Mid-Autumn PSD Party provided a wonderful gathering for everyone, and capturing these beautiful memories on camera made for an unforgettable experience.
