[Ye Shunguang Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Outdoor Selfies & Casual Snapshots - Image 2

These two pictures are casual Cosplay selfies taken during an outdoor photography session at the park that day. Putting on Ye Shunguang's wig and wearing reddish-brown contact lenses immediately brought out the character's signature vibe in the overall look. When preparing this styling, the focus was actually placed on eye makeup and neck accessories. The reddish-brown contact lenses, paired with warm-toned eye shadow extending from the outer eye corners, enhance the depth of the gaze, while natural sunlight highlights make the eye color appear translucent and lively. The top of the wig was deliberately layered, and the light golden highlights at the tips look even better under backlighting.

The highlight of this outfit lies in the red leather choker around the neck, with the front golden heart-shaped buckle being very eye-catching. Paired with the underlying white ruffled collar, the red-and-white color contrast looks clean and crisp against the background of outdoor green leaves. Mention was made in the original post about forgetting the hair accessories; although missing a few detail embellishments, the overall sense of style remained well-preserved, and adding this white headband with pink patterns actually imparted a lightweight, casual touch. Taking Cosplay selfies in outdoor photography is actually harder to control than studio shots, as sunlight flares and wind intensity affect the final presentation. But precisely because of this, dynamic, effortless moments like hair blown by the wind were captured.

Speaking of the character Ye Shunguang, her clothing and makeup convey a cool-on-the-outside, warm-on-the-inside demeanor. Therefore, I kept the base makeup clean and matte, adding only subtle shimmers on the cheekbones and under the eyes to prevent excessive glare under strong light. For the lip color, I chose a naturally glossy rosy bean paste tone, which adds a healthy flush without clashing with the red eye makeup. During this photo session, I hardly used many props or complex poses; simply relying on a slightly tilted-up head angle and hair shifting in the wind effectively demonstrated the character's composed and unhurried nature.

While organizing these photos, I really enjoyed the effect of outdoor natural light shining on the subject. The strong sunlight formed clear chiaroscuro lines along the neck and collarbone, making the white top look exceptionally clean under the sun, which aligns perfectly with the character's neat and refreshing image. Although things were a bit rushed on set and props weren't fully prepared, it unexpectedly captured a vivid sense of daily life. Not many post-production adjustments were made because the light and shadow in the raw shots were already rich enough. The combination of red colored contact lenses and a white collar, set against the backdrop of mountain greenery, makes a great outdoor photography recap record.

I actually tried several poses during the shoot, but picked these two in the end because the gaze facing the camera felt relaxed without forcing angles, resulting in a more natural state. For cool, sharp characters like this, dramatic facial expressions aren't necessary—a faint hint of a smile or a calm, steady gaze is enough to convey her unique personal charm. Hope this character styling restoration allows everyone to feel the aloof yet independent side of this character in Zenless Zone Zero.
