This shoot for Xiao Qiao Swan Dream cosplay (Xiao Qiao Swan Dream cosplay) from Honor of Kings (Honor of Kings) took roughly half a month of polishing from initial planning to camera wrap. The design palette of this skin is remarkably rich, balancing dark gothic opulence with the pure grace of a white swan. For this shoot, I primarily extracted the ice-blue tones representing the white swan to showcase an ethereal, icy, yet delightfully coquettish aesthetic.

To faithfully recreate the character's presence, many trials were conducted in styling and makeup. The wig was selected in a pale blue infused with a subtle silvery-gray sheen, styled into Xiao Qiao's signature blunt bangs and delicately curled sidelocks. Paired with high-saturation ice-blue contact lenses, it gave the gaze an intense, penetrating 2D anime clarity. To prevent the white feathers of the headdress from going limp or collapsing, internal structural boning was added so they held their crisp form even during sharp head turns. The royal blue choker around the neck served as a visual anchor; crafted from finely shimmering fabric that caught the lights with subtle glimmers, it beautifully sculpted the neckline.

The layers of the costume are exceptionally pronounced. The upper bodice features an off-the-shoulder cut, flowing into voluminous flared bell sleeves made from blue-and-white gradient gossamer sheer fabric that reveals delicate sequin glimmer. To form an immaculate bell-shaped umbrella silhouette for the lower tutu skirt, multiple petticoats were layered underneath. The silver-thread embroidery and sapphire jewel accents on the skirt were meticulously rendered; in motion, the fluttering tulle layers evoked genuine theatrical presence. The legs were styled in solid, opaque pure-white pantyhose (White stockings, Stockings); pointing my toes on tiptoe during profile and rear-angle shots gracefully elongated the leg lines, channeling the poised elegance of a ballet dancer.

Regarding props, the three-dimensional feather-motif fan carried considerable heft: blue-and-white wing sculptures rested atop a silver-white baseplate, with edges embellished with sparkling rhinestones. Posing with it demanded wrist control to calibrate the optimal facet toward the camera lens.

The studio set was dressed with white Roman columns, vintage birdcages, and filigree folding screens, creating an impeccably clean environment. To harmonize with this dreamy palette, the gaffer designed a soft, cool-white light tinged with a hint of blue tint. In posing, I explored over-the-shoulder glances, poised seated stances, and expansive open-arm postures. That over-the-shoulder turn in particular demanded expressive eyes—far from wooden, balancing Xiao Qiao's innocent radiance with a touch of regal aloofness.

As a crucial milestone in my comprehensive Xiao Qiao skin cosplaying plan, the Swan Dream shoot was a marvelous creative experience; both the garment details and the ambient mood achieved our intended vision. Xiao Qiao has so many incredible skins, so I'll be diving straight into researching the next skin's makeup and set designs to keep the project moving smoothly forward.
