Soaking in the pool wearing this white-and-red color-blocked one-piece swimsuit of Zero Two, the summer atmosphere was completely maxed out. The wig was a pink model specially chosen for its softer texture, which maintained relatively good volume even after getting wet in the water, without flattening against my scalp. The red horn accessories on my head were secured with waterproof adhesive, staying steady even when shooting splashing water. The venue selected this time was a standard indoor swimming pool. The light poured down through the glass windows and, combined with the water surface's refraction, left plenty of room for post-processing.

In the few shots where I hold sparklers, the spots of light from the sparks happened to reflect on my cheeks, adding a touch of agile vitality. The water was actually quite chilly during the shoot, but to showcase the character's frank yet playful stance, soaking in the water for over half an hour was completely worth it. Regarding the makeup, the focus was placed on the eye makeup. Zero Two's outer eye corners are slightly upturned with a touch of red blush. I used a liquid eyeliner to elongate the lines, paired with light green colored contacts to recreate her eye color, allowing the sharp gaze to still shine through even under backlighting.

The swimsuit's tailoring fits my body shape beautifully, and the clean, simple red-and-white color-blocking perfectly matches the character's color scheme. For the poses, I tried several different perspectives, such as leaning against a swim ring, being half-submerged in water, and glancing back at the camera, trying my best to let this set of photos convey the laziness and energy by the pool. Although wearing a swimsuit, every styling detail works hard to stay as close as possible to the original work. As an attempt for a summer special feature, I hope this Anime cosplay work allows everyone to feel the charm of the girl from DARLING in the FRANXX.
