For this Nahida Cosplay piece, starting from the makeup testing phase, I was searching for an ideal outdoor scene to express her natural vitality and resonance with nature. The costume in these photos had a lot of thought put into its details; the white base fabric of the top was specifically chosen for its soft drape, paired with the dark green diamond-shaped ornament on the chest and gold piping along the collar, aiming to preserve her divine elegance while remaining comfortable. The tattoo sticker on my arm was carefully selected as well, rendering a seamless look under outdoor sunlight. As for the wig, I selected a short silver-white style with subtle wavy texture. Fitting it with the Elf ear props to capture the essence of an Elf girl took considerable effort in trimming and hiding hair at the back. The ear molds were lightweight and translucent, blending smoothly with my skin tone without looking harsh under bright sunlight.

Today's location was set in a pine grove where afternoon sunlight filtered through dense tree crowns, casting dappled light and shadows across tree trunks and wooden benches. The small green spirit plush on the ground was a custom prop crafted specifically for this shoot. The curvature of its leaf shape was manually adjusted multiple times; to find the ideal balance, hidden wire was installed at the bottom of the plush so the leaves could maintain a natural, curling posture when placed on the wooden planks.

Compared to studio shoots, Outdoor photography demands far greater expressiveness from a cosplayer. During the shoot, I tried my best to empty my mind and adjust my demeanor to reflect her innocent yet wise character essence. In the finished shots, whether leaning leisurely against a tree trunk or playfully tapping one foot on the bench, every pose was the result of repeatedly adjusting my center of gravity and refining subtle expressions. The calf bandages were particularly tricky—if not tied tightly, they tended to loosen while walking. The close-up shots of my legs and feet captured that very lightness and agility. Although strong winds on set disheveled the wig and ribbons, it unexpectedly added an effortless, airy motion to the scenes.

The most rewarding part of Cosplay is this immersive experience. From flat character illustrations to costume tailoring, prop crafting, makeup testing, and communicating with the photographer to achieve a composition that balances realism with Anime cosplay aesthetics, every single step brings me closer to the character's pure essence. This set avoided heavy filters, striving instead to preserve the natural environmental color tones and realistic skin texture.

In post-processing, adjustments focused mainly on light-shadow structure and skin clarity, ensuring that over-smoothing didn't erase fine details so the wood grain and garment folds remained clearly visible. The core emotion conveyed by Nahida resonates deeply with this forest green setting. Taking barefoot photos outdoors requires extra attention to posture and comfort; many subtle body shifts took trial and error before the camera to present that quiet, carefree atmosphere. I hope this set, infused with the breeze of the woods, allows everyone to feel her gentle nature—listening to all living things and quietly watching over them. With every outdoor location shoot, I aim to preserve the breeze, vegetation, light, and shadow of that moment through the lens without holding anything back.
